  1. The 3G version has MOAR BASS.
  2. I went to Tumi today. While I like Tumi bags, for some reason they make me sad. I think I associate them with when I was traveling all the time for work. I did like the leather Alpha, but the Missus is not a fan and it ain't cheap.
  3. Anyone in NorCal familiar with Hlaska? Some nice bags. Men's Bags, Messengers, Bagpacks, Laptop Sleeves, Briefcase, Duffles, Computer Bag | Hlaska
  4. That continues to frustrate and surprise me. Is that also a multitasking issue?
  5. It's not possible to accept a meeting invite and have it added to your calendar through the Mail app all on the iPhone/iPad, correct?
  6. These leather bags are pretty expensive, but they are pretty great looking imo: Saddleback Leather Co. : Leather Bags, Briefcases & Luggage for Men & Women
  7. Me. Like. Gadget Pouch Large Dark Coffee Brown
  8. I'm still surprised that there is not a more robust security app out there. But it occurs to me, such an app likely would need multi-tasking, right?
  9. happy birthday, Chris!
  10. I'll be doing this in my work rig.
  11. Some nice bags here: Blackbird - Bags Dusty, most of the bags I have seen thus far that have incorporated protection have done so for laptops/notebooks. It seems like bag mfrs. are not yet integrating iPad-specific compartments into the cases. However, some are designed for netbooks, so those could work. Most of the iPad-specific bags I have seen have been of the vertical half-bag variety. Although Booq has a couple that may fit the bill: iPad bags and iPad cases by booq
  12. No doubt that Jack Spade stuff comes with some, er, baggage. But they do look good and are a nice combo of utilitarian and sleek. The Bihn stuff makes me look like I'm going camping. In the Amazon.
  13. That's one of my concerns.
  14. The Tom Bihn stuff is going back. It is very well made, but it's just not exactly what I'm looking for. A little to "strappy." I need something just a bit more streamlined. But I think these guys make good stuff and would recommend them. Now thinking about a Jack Spade bag.

Garmin Forerunner 305 for runners. Pretty good price I think. Amazon.com Gold Box: New Deals. Every Day.
  16. Took Jack to a children's "play" about solving some sort of mystery. Lots of dialog in a play for children FTMFL. Then on to a 4 y.o.'s birthday party for fun and games at some party factory. The after cake, what can only be described as animalistic mayhem in a semi-padded room. During said mayhem, Jack managed to crack his head on some unpadded portion of a corner wall (WTF? Unpadded in a children's gym?). He got a pretty good gash that bled a bit, but no stitches needed. Still scary and never should have happened. Fuckers. Headache coming back. Time for a drink. Or seven.

Ugh, so sorry to hear that deepak. We'll have the videocon up and running, though. More importantly, take care of yourself and those around you. Let us know if we can do anything.
  18. Ok, but what about its use as a suspension bridge in or around Europe?
  19. Interesting. Halide Design Bridge Review | Computer Audiophile Thoughts?
  20. ^Good call. I noticed it myself, and it could be very useful. Thanks for the reminder.
  21. On the iPad.
  22. ^This. Although I have to say that Jeff's tethering with his Sprint whatchamacallit worked pretty flawlessly. But that may end up being the same price.
