  1. I did not realize base and collector are linked in the 1486 that sits alone. After soldering, I thought I had created a bridge and removed the transistor. Lesson: look at the schematic and a bare PCB if you have one to compare. In the older PSU, they were connected by a trace. Now they are linked, and that makes it look like a solder bridge.
  2. Are those solder jobs they way they came? Lots of rosin and board damage too. I can't believe this is a commercial product unless somebody tinkered with it.
  3. The pundits at headfi have been admitting how poorly the Mk1 sounds but I remember when they said it was better than anything else. It is amazing how things change when they release a new version. The comment that the KGSSHV has loud hisses and clicks was an utter lie.
  4. Your KGSS looks so much better than the Cavalli.
  5. Remolon. Those are some very impressive substitutions right there.
  6. WOT! In mine they are to the left of the 440's and on front of the 50k's
  7. 99.9% isopropyl alcohol at Costco.May have to ask for it
  8. Kerry, I hadn't seen measurements on the kgsshv before. Thanks. Shipsupt, we demand pictures!
  9. Z foil resistors! Man, that would be more expensive than gold. Where the screws encrusted with diamonds? A titanium knob, well I could see Kevin doing that
  10. The new boards are tiny!
  11. I assume the KGSSHV PSU built for the Megatron should be at +-450V? And use 2 instead of one?
  12. My boards arrived today after going from Vietnam to New York and then back to California Thanks a lot to Kevin, Birgir and Thuan!
  13. I am thinking it was still wrong on v 0.4
  14. I am still trying to figure out how the Parasound, your Denon and the He-500 fit together in this thread.
  15. LilKnight, could we order the 1968's also?
  16. John, I knew you would see the errors of your ways
  17. Yeah. I'd love those for the Megatron also. Quite nice!
  18. SoCal and ants come together. At least if you have orange groves all around you. Now I am afraid of opening mine.
  19. Nice! A BH and an 009! feels like Christmas in July I am rooting for the 009
  20. Those are beautiful boards. 120 degrees is pretty hot. Good thing you are not in SoCal!
  21. Same here. Let me know if I owe you anything
  22. I am amazed every time I see Kerry's work.
