I did that with the exstata build. It was a real pain but a good experience being my first build. A guy whose name starts with s and ends with u at the other site volunteered to help at a price. I sent him my boards but he sent them back untouched :0 It is weird that you have a problem with both boards. If you are using Lil Knight boards, is not the boards.

I downloaded these from Spritzer's Single Power ES-1/2 repair and restoration thread at the other site. Spritzer, do you have any PSU boards laying around somewhere you wouldn't mind getting rid of? Also,which triode and pentode tubes does the ES1 use?

The ES1 looks more difficult though. May be not the best for a first P2P build. BTW, there is not much in google about point to point wiring. Anything out there worth reading?

I was inspired by Frank Cooter's PTP wiring amps he took to the LA meet. So inspired in fact, that I was thinking on building Kevin's KGTT. Besides him and Kerry (and probably Birgir), is there anybody out there who has built it and could post pics of their builds? My first clumsy attempt at a layout looks bad and it won't improve until I get all the components and have an idea of their size and shape. Milos told me he beat you on that one The left channel did not seem to charge completely, but they sounded very nice. It was a pleasure to listen to so much history there. If it had ended up in Iceland, would not have been able to!

Thanks for the review Tyll. They really sounded good with cello and piano. I only listened for a brief time. Since they did not sound better than the 009's I stopped right there.
