Thanks John. Just ordered some.

I am doing my wiring and have a nagging question: Is it safe to run wires under the pcb? Could the solder points get hot and melt the wire?

[email protected] to me Hi Enrique The square one in W45xH42xL50mm The round one Dia50mmxL50mm Its for a stereo version. Mono is 11mm shorter, and Quad 22mm longer. Both have allready threaded bushing to mount as a normal pot. Best regards Arek Kallas - Show quoted text -

Thanks, just ordered....

John, I am just about ready to order. Would you buy them again or would you rather choose a different brand? I like the look of the SMD version more.

Due to family obligations I will be unable to attend I do thank you (and Blubliss) for considering me for this meet and apologize for the inconvenience.

I emailed them at: [email protected]

I think Horio and Cobra Kai have used the Khozmo. IIRC, Horio used the 10K. That's is probably the one I'll get.
-
I did get an email from them within 24 hours when asking for information yesterday. They look very nice and I did not mean to imply anything. The only thing I know about them is what people have commented here and somewhere else. There are a couple of comments in this thread too.

Well, the second amp powered on without anything blowing up. On another note, I will be ordering a Khozmo attenuator. Any more issues with reliability?
-
Well, I have a working PSU and 1 amp. The second one has given me grief after it worked for a few hours. My work schedule wont allow me to do much for a few weeks, but no worries, I will make it work. And congratulations Victor! Enjoy many happy listening moments.

Ok, R2 25 ohm resistor was blown and changed it along with D1 LED. R4 1k, R28 5.1 and all other resistors were fine. Should I worry about the 4686's on that side?
-
Amp 1: got the balance as close to zero as I can get it, fluctuating +- 300 mV or so, the offset fluctuates more but appears stable. Amp 2: D1 LED popped, not sure yet why. It worked fine for a few hours.

Yes I think I am measuring it after the 5M resistor in the Bias connector. I will try again when I get home this evening.
-
Done, thanks. I am getting only 393 V in the Bias. I did not populate C10, D12, R27, R28, D13 and C15 and installed the jumper. I do have 504 V per side.

I am embarrassed to say I dont have anything in metric and using my wife's sewing tape is not cool but if interested pm me your email address so I can send you a few pics -
I was told a 1.5 amp slow blow

Actually it will be only 1. I had 2 in the picture to help me figure out where to drill the holes.
-
I see what you mean, but what I am doing is not that hard. I have not screwed the aluminum plate to the transistors yet.

Thanks. I figured it was because they were in circuit, but wasn't sure why.

When I test the 4686 transistors I get an unexpected reading using my DMM and only with the transistors in the middle (red arrows, and on both boards): Collector to emitter: 0.75 V On the rest of the 4686's: OL Both base-collector and collector-emitter conduct one way only as expected. Why do I get those readings only with the middle ones and not the rest? both boards? At first I thought they were damaged but its to much of a coincidence with the same ones on both boards.
