    Santa Clarita Diet

I liked it a lot. I really enjoyed Timothy Olyphant in Justified, and he brought a humorous edge to his character. Looking forward to Santa Claritia Diet Season 2.
  3. The few times I've worn and listened to the Focall (I'm going to spell it that way if they insist on pronouncing it like that) Utopia, it didn't really stand out that much. Seemed like a decent higher end headphone. But when I heard the price, I couldn't stop openly laughing.
  4. Thanks everyone. It's a great birthday in that I'm alive, and that's about it. Here's my Birthday "Cake". LOL.
  5. Very touching tribute, Brent. Thanks for sharing.

    Nintendo Switch

Yes, I'm a sucker for Zelda and Nintendo Portables. I pre-ordered the Switch and Breath of the Wild. Anyone else getting the Switch? I still have my original Game Boy from 1989. Also many other iterations afterwards. I'll have to post a Nintendo Portables line up picture when I get the Switch.
  7. Yikes, what a shit show that HF thread turned into. But what do you expect from that forum? Unlike the vast majority of the people there, I actually took some time to listen to the Edition 6 prototype at CES myself. Did it sound compelling, and have improvements over the HE-1000 v2? Absolutely, Yes. Is it going to be worth the $6K estimated MRSP? Mostly likely not. I think Fang is making a big mistake following the crazy pricing trend the headphone industry in general is adopting. They're all going to price themselves out of business sooner than later. HifiMan had a really good niche of innovative, high performance products that punched way above their price tag. The compromise being build quality and QC. But as the price is rising, build quality and QC are not catching up nearly as much as they should. Overall, the Shangri-La was much more compelling to me, sound quality-wise. The Edition 6 has great potential, as I really liked the HE-6, but the price tag is simply asking too much IMO. Especially when Mr. Speakers Estats are entering the scene soon. I hope that Dan doesn't try to follow the trend of overpricing as well.
  8. Wow, those look amazing. I'm still looking for half length bagette pan that would fit in a large toaster oven.
  9. Man, I need to make room in my fridge for a sourdough starter. Or leave it out and bake something often, LOL. My wife would love and hate me at the same time.
  10. Nice spongy even airiness, Mikey. Very nice!
  11. Oh man. I need to get on getting a sourdough starter together.
  12. Thanks everyone. Just taking it easy this time. Had a crummy start to the year.
  13. Finished steak. I prefer the reverse sear slow smoke method over sous vide for steaks. While it's a little more tender, it lacks the smokey flavor I love. Next I'm trying chicken breasts. Yeah, they're the Lipavi racks I bought from Amazon.
  14. My first foray into Sous Vide cooking. Just got an Anova Precision Wifi. Cooking Costco Choice Strip steaks. Going to finish them off on my grill after they're done in the Sous Vide bath.
