Nice Raffy! It appears to be breakfast for dinner night. We had scrambled eggs with pickled jalapeno's, hash browns and thick cut bacon. And I kept the theme up with vodka and orange juice. It was good.

I am about an hour from Purdue Lafayette, and we have an extra room. And I am 25 minutes or so from FFF. And I like my Uncle Al. Keep these things in mind.

Don't look at it as a failure Ken, it's just the end of another chapter in life. You're a good guy. Work will come and life will go on. Good people don't lose, they move to the next step.

We made pork Milanese tonight with a salad of escarole, radicchio, radish and pickled onion. Happy tummy.

I got a gift in the mail from my dear friend John today. And while the Bell's Palsy has been getting better day by day and it's almost to the point where I don't need the eye patch, I had to model this as it is the perfect eye patch. Thanks John!!!

We had a short window of sunshine today so I took the opportunity to take a ride in the convertible. Nice brisk air (36 F) and warm sunshine. A nice way to start the new year.

Closer for the night - A Boothby Manhattan. 2 oz Rye 1 oz sweet vermouth 2 dashes orange bitters 2 dashes Angostura bitters 1 oz Champagne Stir the rye, vermouth, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass. Add Maraschino cherry and float 1 oz on champagne on top. And I like it. Very much.

Having a Thistle cocktail. Equal parts Scotch and sweet vermouth and a couple dashes of bitters. I went with Ardbeg, Dolin and Angostura. I like.
