Yeah Justin, the price you mentioned were box and block ticket prices and went very high. Still waiting for the general grandstand and GA admission prices. And even if they are high mikey we can still watch it from Austin and drink.
Enjoy. Debbie and I could have had tickets but for some reason (!) we weren't that concerned about it. Instead we will be seeing Dar Williams at a late show in Evanston on Friday night and then heading to Milwaukee on Saturday to see Cinematic Titanic (essentially live Mystery Science Theater 3000) that evening. Sunday morning will be spent at Blue's Egg in Milwaukee having breakfast with cocktails. I'll miss DLD but that seems ok for this year.
Never heard the man, but it sounds like the kind of radio we need these days. Too much formulaic shit out there and we need people like him (and us) who like things from all styles of music and can recognize the value in them.
I agree. My favorite part of the film and though Levon is great here, when Mavis Staples breaks into her verse I get chills down my spine. I'm waiting for my amp to get back to have a memorial viewing of The Last Waltz.
Amp is done:
Work completed:
New Power transistors installed with new mica washers (all 8 replaced)
New Power Diodes and noise elimination capacitors
All relays opened and cleaned internally
New Nichicon MUSE caps replacing all electrolytic caps from all boards
New Power switch light installed
New 14 AWG silver-plated Power socket installed with new IEC female socket
I should have it in a few days. Sooooo looking forward to it.
Glad you're ok. My Bell's Palsy/Pirate incident was scary enough but to go through that would have shook me pretty good. Again, glad it turned out to be something manageable and slightly less scary.
Boneless pork chops and new potatoes, onions and Brussels sprouts in a white wine and dijon sauce. Prepared on the grill and delicious if I do say so myself.
