Thanks Al, I have good beer tutors. The Allagash Curiex is aged in Bourbon casks which should make for an interesting presentation, and the good thing about it is that you can lay it down in your cellar for up to six years to accentuate it's character, whatever that is. Buying booze and laying it down for a few years is my MO so this may get to be fun. Bummer about Shelly's Sierra Nevada Harvest, I hope the one I just bought strikes my fancy, if not I will chuck it at one of the local rattlers.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I plan to knock off work early today and spend the afternoon BBQing with my two boys, slow roast BBQ FTW! Mary and Emily are spending the week at a service camp helping out with a food kitchen, fixing up painting and repairing homes for the elderly, so as far as I am concerned having my family helping others is the best BD gift I could ask for.
