  1. Added relays and send sent additional payment. Thanks.
  2. Looked like there was still room on the spreadsheet, payment sent, ID included in payment. Thanks for putting it together.
  3. Well hyped elsewhere, but pretty good for just under $40, the Zero Audio Carbon Tenore. http://www.amazon.com/AUDIO-ear-stereo-headphone-Tenore-ZH-DX200-CT/dp/B0093VVP0Q
  4. I told George I wasn't going to get to open the package he sent me until later in the week, but Sunday morning was quiet in the house so i could not resist. His chassis parts came out amazing, photos are not showing off how clean a job this is. Thanks George!!
  5. I know of myself and two others here. I've been pinging him every once in a while, with no joy. I noticed he logged in over at head-fi recently so I have to assume he's actively avoiding us. Sad, I did quite a few little deals with LK and it always turned out well... My guess, he got screwed by his vendor in China and doesn't know what to do now. 'course I'm just speculating.
  6. I've been trying to reach him lately... no reply here or on email. I know he was having some issues getting the vendor to deliver, then he went radio silent.
  7. My Empire Builder continues to serve me well, thanks again for all the recommendations. I wanted to throw something up quick on a new camera bag I'm using, the ThinkTank Retrospective 50. I wanted something that would let me carry a DSLR and my work stuff on a daily basis. It's probably a little larger than what I needed. A "30" would probably have been big enough, but I also wanted it to double up when I wanted to grab a few pro zooms, a flash, and maybe a second body. It'll swallow that gear and more. For now I keep a body with a lens and a second lens in the center, my portable music stuff, cables, and chargers in the outside pouches. There's a spot for a laptop and/or iPad in the back. The front has some easy to get to organized pockets for cards, pens, batteries, etc... Basically I carry everything I want for work + camera and still have a ton of room left over. The velcro closures are well thought out and have a "quiet" mode. It's not a super flashy "I'm a camera" bag, but it's not stealth either. The shoulder strap is wide and comfortable. I can wear it over a single shoulder or across the body. It's even got a rain cover, which is pretty darned handy here in the UK. I think it's a great bag and certainly has me convinced ThinkTank makes good stuff.
  8. I got a note from LilKnight who's having some network issues... He's trying to get the chassis work finished up. Here's what he's after: "Could you check with the guys which volume pot they are using? The rk50 has 8mm diameter shaft while standard is only 6mm. I am thinking of making 6mm, so if you use the rk50, you just need a coupler, will forward you the link to that." I can reply to him via email with the info. I'm not sure how often he's been on here lately.
  9. You'll have full access to Evernote files from your iPhone/Pad and it integrates with Spotlight.
  10. Justin, if after the scan you file with something like Evernote the entire scanned document will be searchable. It makes searching for things later a snap. I'm sure there are plenty of similar applications, I'm just an Evernote fanboy as of late.
  11. FWIW... 10.9.2 appears to have corrected the "pop/click" issues some folks (like myself) were having on USB audio from newer iMacs with the fusion drive.
  12. I know a few guys were asking about Tran/Lil Knight and chassis progress. He just got back to me with an update... Tran will come through! Hi Chris, The fact is, my CNC machine man messed up with the plan and he couldn't catch up with it. The Chinese New Year is coming very soon and they also are having a break for 2 weeks. I know this is very hard for you guys because I expected to have everything last December. Please understand for my situation because I am only the middle man, been trying to push them hard... I am way more than worried you guys, all of the money was transferred to them. I have their promise that they will get things back on track after the CNY, which I really hope so. If possible, please let the others know about this. I am still here and will definitely deliver the chassis, just a bit longer than expected. Cheers Tran
  13. If a GB gets going I'd like to get in for some of all three.
  14. I just returned from another trip with the Empire Builder. It's amazing how much gear it swallows! Now that I have it I'd feel confident trying one of the smaller bags knowing just how much you can stuff in them comfortably.
  15. Right!!! Every time I think about listening to headphones with 4 people I think SPEAKERS!
  16. I have not. Honestly I was not sure I could do that! A few guys reported a work around by placing their OS on an external drive/flash drive, so maybe this is a way ahead... I'll do some sniffing around. This seems to be a set of directions a lot of folks are following to split the drive: http://www.macworld.com/article/2015664/how-to-split-up-a-fusion-drive.html I'm assuming the only real downside is that I'd no longer have the automatic optimization of what's on the SSD? Can I go back once I split? Thanks!
  17. Just a quick heads up... There appears to be an issue with the late model iMacs delivering audio through USB. I just spent several hours on the support line with Apple and have been reading about the issue for a few days. Apple doesn't have a root cause yet, but they are acknowledging something is up. Symptoms: A "clicking" or "popping" sound. It's not hard to spot/hear. It happens with any audio out and does not appear to be dependent on the software. I had the issue with anything from Pure Music to iTunes and YouTube... What I read on the support forums: - It appears to be an issue with very late model iMac's (like in the last 38 days) WITH the fusion drives. - Some guys have sent their unit back for replacement and had the same issue. When they swapped for a replacement with a traditional hard drive the issue seems to go away. I don't want to give up on the Fusion Drive, it's pretty slick, but I am close to my 14 day return window so I need to decide to roll the dice and wait for a fix or consider going back to a traditional drive. Here are a few links discussing the issue... there are more out there. https://discussions.apple.com/message/23352452#23352452 http://www.gearslutz.com/board/music-computers/877537-potential-audio-problem-new-imacs.html
  18. I ended up going with the Empire Builder, it arrived today. I'm pretty impressed. These are nice bags. The bag was a little heavier than I expected when empty. The size looks about perfect for my overpacking on trips, and in fact is a bit smaller than I expected so I can see it getting some daily use to the office as well. Messenger slinging seems like it will be fine for general commuting/traveling. Thanks for the advice.
  19. You're right, too much litigation in this world already! Fixed it, and thanks!
  20. I plan to use the k boards in the future, but I would like to have an old style board (or 2) with the improvements if it can be made available so I can be ready should I have any trouble. I'm happy to help organize an order if that helps?
  21. Jack Georges, always a classic. It's my go to "formal" bag.
  22. Tactical is fine. That is a contender. Nice bag. I wish I could find a few more pictures of the internals.
  23. I've been using a Crumpler messenger laptop bag for long trips for quite some time now. It's been good, but not great. One of my dogs managed to eat one of the clips so I'm using that as an excuse to search for a new bag. I tend to stuff a lot of gear in the bag for long trips so I need something pretty large. I also prefer a messenger style sling to a back pack or over the shoulder. You guys have me really interested in the Tom Bihn stuff. My first choice looks like the Empire Builder, but I'm wondering how well it carries across the body as a messenger, especially a "larger boned" body? Would I be better served with the Super Ego? Thanks!
  24. After success powering the amp boards I started to box things up. Basically slowly mounting and making sure I have all my fasteners... I need to make a run to the hardware store tomorrow!
