  1. Sup Heads? My show is once again on the air, back in the WAMH studio. WAMH's new web streaming page is right here. My show's website is still around as well.
  2. The KF Xmas event is now live. There's two new maps. At least one of them is a community made map (KF-Hell) and it's ...not so good. I think the other one is a community map that I played ages ago and didn't particularly enjoy. On the brighter side, all the Xmas achievements are now active, and there's some new ones as well.
  3. Cat People (1982) I saw this movie when I was way too young for it. I didn't much like it then, and I my opinion on it isn't improving a hell of a lot now. That said, the soundtrack is by Giorgio Moroder, and it is excellent. Tthe crazy effects Giorgio extracts from his modular for the musical cues have aged really well.

Right now there's a Steam flash sale on Natural Selection 2, it's 90% off $2.50. Ends 7 hours from this posting.
  8. Alex Trebek hosting CBC television show Music Hop in 1963.
  9. Oof. Today was not the day to log on to Facebook. Not only is FB telling me that it's India's 24th birthday, I found out my friend Liz lost her brother in a car accident early Thanksgiving morning. I haven't seen liz in a few years, but I've kept in contact with her online. She finished law school and passed the Maryland bar just a month ago. There is no good time to lose a sibling, but having it happen so close to a major achievement and on a holiday is forever going to taint those events for her and her family.
  10. Test Tone At Home, broadcasting now: http://mixlr.com/illuminator
  11. ^ The video from the Walmart in Puerto Rico was the same stupid shit, but it had the best soundtrack. Reggaeton isn't exactly my cuppa, but it owes a lot of latin house (a tabla-infused cousin of deep house), which IS one of my preferred genres. The music gave the PR video a more festive feel, and tamed at least the apparent levels of pants-on-head retardation.
  12. Sup Heads? I will in fact be doing a webcast tonight on Mixlr. Start time should be around 10PM Eastern.

960GB Crucial SSD for $439 (which is pretty much the going price for lesser-made ~500GB SSDs).
  14. Thanks. I ended up copying the entire directory over and got all of my umpteen tabs back. The only major wrinkle was that 10.8 hides ~Library in Finder by default. A little use of Terminal sorted that out.
  15. Chrome crashed and ate all my tabs. I have thus far been unable to restore them. Supposedly it's possible to get old data out of Time Machine, but I'm unsure where to look. Any HCers know what files I need to dig out of TM?
