  1. Been listening to Grove Salad most of the day. Sounds damn good out of my Quad CDP-2's DACs.
  2. Bonus Bush (NSFW)
  3. Jay smiley:
  4. Sadly, no:
  5. Yet moar groceries (perishables this time) Another $50 ceiling fixture. A $6 ceiling fixture. A few tidbits from the dollar store. My recent purchaes might lead one to believe all I do is eat and light things up. That assumption is distressingly accurate.
  6. Wow, there's some crazy stuff on that page. Geez, what the hell is that? KGBH? Nice looking DAC. I have certainly never heard it, but I did have a Krell CDP of similar vintage as a loaner quite a few years ago. I don't remember the model offhand, but it had 20bit DACs and balanced outs. I'm pretty sure it did not have that fancy data and jitter module. Back then my listening setup was very different (Hafler P125 amp, EV Sentry monitors) but I recall the Krell being really detailed, but a bit bright. I knew little about critical listening back then so take this with sizable grain of salt.
  7. Aye, with notable exceptions like the Zombie Zombie The Thing remake with GI Joes, the soundtracks to YouTube videos are almost invariably abysmal. This one is no exception. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wvo-g_JvURI

  9. Ran errands for something close to 9 hours.
  10. Hoo boy. Let's see here: Groceries. One quarter's property tax. Moar groceries. 60W light bulbs. A pallet of sugar free energy drinks. Two camera flashes for $4 each. Even moar groceries. $31 ceiling fixture (going back) $10 ceiling fixture (likewise) $8 ceiling fixture (instant rebate from the power company) $50 ceiling fixture $10 ceiling fixture.
  11. I think that's a picture from Jay's driving test.
  12. blogspot dun like hotlinking.
  13. You are completely correct in this assumption. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdvLEiWzEvQ Stealth Cat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sNewX_Al4U NINJA Cat.
  14. That was lat night around 9PM, still snowing. I spent much of today negotiating with Roadway. Their driver didn't think he could get his tractor and 48 foot trailer down my street. I am unsure why Grainger sent me a four pound package via Roadway. Fortunately, the Roadway guy was able to give the package to the UPS driver (also delivering from Grainger). It's kind of scary when freight companies, you know, actually work together.
