Jude's camera bag makes me angry.

I have Sally's Photographic Memory, I have been meaning to FLAC it for ages. Unfortunately, since the death of my Windows box, I don't have a good ripping solution. Windows is good for exactly two things: Foobar2000 and Exact Audio Copy. Actually, come to think I have both Return to the Source comps as well. I have a bunch of the Volume compilations, but I'm still missing quite a few. In some far-off Utopian future, I am going to rip all of my Volume, Harthouse, Superstition, etc stuff to Waffle Irons standards.

Don't let the silly title and goofy artwork fool you. This compilation is a classic slice of mid-90s UK electronic music.

Yes. It was an aide to the DC mayor, in 1999.

In my experience, imageshack is better if you want to post thumbnails that link to the original. Photobucket is better if you want to post the original size. Tinypic is nice in that it gives you a choice of resolutions that you can resize the image to when you upload it. Flickr is the best of the bunch, of course, but it's really only for photography.

What would be the best XLR cable for the money
Knuckledragger replied to Blackmore's topic in Audio Accessories
This guy makes very good cables at reasonable prices. I bought a SE headphone extension cable from him a while back. I haven't heard his XLRs, but I've considered buying them. He's got an auction for a set of seven 2M XLR cables for $135. I'm sure if you don't need 7, he'll sell you less. -
What would be the best XLR cable for the money
Knuckledragger replied to Blackmore's topic in Audio Accessories
A friend of mine bought some Monoprice XLRs and found their connectors to be enough out of spec that connecting them (and, more to the point, disconnecting them) feels like the XLR jack is going to be torn out. imagine the Monster Cable RCA Cable Grip of Death phenomenon, but with XLRs. -
Renewed my license Worked out more details about mastering my DJ mix with LFF Posted in the wrong forum on head-case at least twice Went through no less than 15 DVD-R backups looking for one lousy sample Concluded that said sample was most likely on the one disk my lappy wouldn't read bought two shelves ($6 ea.) and six brackets ($4 ea. for a bent piece of metal) from Home Despot will now try to get 5 hrs sleep.

Tinypic FTW! For slightly more "serious" stuff I use PhotoBucket.

Article on record sales doubling and CD sale dropping
Knuckledragger replied to riceboy's topic in Music
$16 for a CD that has maybe 2 good songs on it is a terrible deal. -
What kind of rack is that on the Quad web site...

Urbandictionary is very US-centric. According to UD users, a "donk" is either a large, shapely female behind or an early 1970s Chevy Impala (preferably sitting on preposterously oversized rims). I found this out earlier today after discovering a particularly disturbing music video. I am thinking "donk" means something different in the UK, but correct interpretation is not necessarily going to improve that track. OT: Today paid for the privilege of driving in the State of Taxachusetts for another four years. I also bought 20 "contractor grade" trash bags that are a whopping 2 mil thick. In spite of checking 3 different stores, I could not find 3 mil bags. Experience has taught me that the extra mil of thickness is nontrivial when cleaning up house debris. Right now I should really be measuring the shelving in the upstairs bathroom so I can visit Home Despot and buy parts for two more shelves.
