  1. I knew you'd appreciate it. I love the repeated gag about Portugal. Supposedly it's from a Spitting Image annual from the mid 80s.
  2. Err, what was the search term you use? I found this, which works out to 20 cents a foot shipped. I don't exactly need 500 feet, however.
  3. Bought $225 in R13, R19 and R38 fiberglass insulation. Hung a 10 foot curtain rod above the bay window in my living room. Managed to break the socket in a very nice turn of the century jade lamp while trying to rewire it. Successfully rewired two other floor lamps.
  4. Hi. This is a $6000 TTVJ tube amp: I'm not gonna say it's arm gnawingly ugly, but even Mr. Takei gets a chuckle at that faceplate. Yet, for some odd reason the headphone cognoscenti lust after it madly. One might start to get the idea that Todd has some kind of wacky function-over-form philosophy. Maybe he should he should start to imitate the Denver business model.

  8. I realize this isn't audio related, but I'm in the process of rewiring a bunch of antique lamps. I could use a 50' or 100' spool of lamp 18ga 2-conductor lamp cord. The local hardware store charges 40-80 cents a foot. Any suggestions where I should look online for lamp cord and other parts?
  9. This one probably amuses no one but me. That's the kit lens that came with my 30D. The EF-17-85mm IS.
  10. If this new amps is powered by an Elpac, does that mean one could use a HeadAmp GLite DPS instead?
