While he does have all those tubes, I just chalk that up as a business opportunity that couldn't be passed up. That said, I do believe his primary aim is to build amps, not sell tubes.

While i haven't heard the Benchmark in a long time, I did own the Lavry for over a year. That said I think it's a good budget source, but it's just that, a budget source. IIRC, alot of it's problems deal wit the fact that the output stage are the OPA 275s like on the Meridian G08. If someone changed that and/or modded the circuit to improve it, then who knows.

Keep in mind that Mikhail really isn't a tube dealer, so it's almost to be expected that his prices are higher than others.

Muntz TV is a rebrand of something, there is no doubt about that. And yes, the Ken Rad 6sn7gt can oftentimes sound very dark and colored. With that in mind you may want to use some different output tubes, as the eh 6sn7 are probably one of the worst you can use IMO.

Eh.... tkam would understand.... In any case, glad you have found the 650s to your liking. I've heard them SE, and balanced and I still think regardless that they have too much bass. I also think that you need to upgarde your amp.
