  1. My budget rig was built around Grado's, kinda wish I would of done a few things differently now, and plan on doing some upgrades when I get back working. I use my computer as source, I bought the Headfive last year for $250, NOS Number Cruncher 203.2 for $50, and the SR80's ran me about $95. Cables: Quail power cord, Monoprice Toslink, still need to upgrade my RCA patch using an old Monster Cable MKII400.
  2. Since the output on my DAC is really hot, I can usually only listen around 7-8 o'clock.
  3. Yea thats what I run Toslink, using my computer as source (now that I got it running quietly) Thanks for the information
  4. What do you consider a good Toslink, I'm just running a monoprice 8mm cable and it sounds pretty dam good in my system. I had a piece of junk Toslink from eBay before that and it did sound pretty bad with that cable.
  5. I've got some older ones that I thought I deleted.. On an interesting note all my subscriptions are gone
  6. Maybe I was being a bit to conservative
  7. I just hit new posts, and there is already 5 OMG were back, Glad it's back, etc.. I'm guessing by tomorrow there should be about 200 of these and probably 500 "list what you did during the outage" threads.
  8. Aww how cute, I miss my kitty more then I miss my ex (I stupidly gave her custody of kitty when we split :'( )
  9. I found this forum a few days ago when I was searching google for head-fi outage it brought me to a site called Board Reader and I seen a link to here. I'm glade I found this place, I been lurking a few days and some of the posts definitely clues you into things you just won't see on the other forum.
  10. Lmao, probably build a couple tables in the time it will take to rebuild all the db's.
