Heard it before the mod out of my rig using the K340, and after mods on my rig with the RS-1. My Denon was clearly better in both cases. It made the RS-1 harsh and the soundstage & detail level wasn't as good as my Denon. Decent for its price after mods, but still nothing to write home about.
I briefly heard the Zhalou at the Hamilton meet yesterday. My 10 year old Denon CD player which uses the PCM1700 DAC chip sounds better than that damn thing.
Sheep don't have any orifices which humans don't, thus it's not necessary to make a special category for them. BTW, sheep are out of style, it's all about the goats these days judging by the videos we're getting at Customs.
It's the usual Head-fi gremlins, it logged me out last night and won't let me log back in. Which is quite annoying since the 40 or so idiots on my Ignore List are no longer being ignored, which makes Head-fi very painful to read.
I'd say not moist enough not is not as bad as too moist because you can always add some Astroglide. Drying it up on the other hand is rather more involved...
A 13 year old kid who deserves every bit of abuse & ridicule thrown his way. I'm sorry, my sympathy meter for Jagwire remains firmly pegged at zero, he's a 13 year old who acts like a 5 year old. He's a spoiled attention whoring brat who needs some sense beaten into him.
A tube based constant current source, that should be interesting. Though it will make tubes sound better, you still don't want to use a crap-ass tube like the 1970's RCA/GE coin bases. As the saying goes, you can't polish a turd.
