ok, this is annoying.. seems I have one of those mac mini dvd drives that doesn't actually work. Put a disk in and then the mac completely ignores it.. aside from constantly speeding up and down. It wont play, show up or eject. A bit of a common problem after reading around the web. The only to get the damn disk out is to restart with the mouse down. Anyone know of a way to fix this. Not exactly useful as a media machine if it can't even play a dvd.

I refunded NoNoNoNoNoNo his $350, I think he was feeling way too guilty about selling the TPs as if it would hurt my feelings or something. They were his after all and he really doesn't owe me anything.

After giving it a test drive for a couple of days I was sold. Thankfully my local woodcraft was happy to let me borrow one. Noice indoodly!

I want the lcd too but they'll have to wait a while.

I know some people have problems with him and he made some unwise decisions that got peoples backs up so I appreciate that, Nate. I don't expect many (any?) people to change their minds on him, just don't all jump to conclusions re: everything he does. I imagine the only reason he's not selling on H-F is because he fears he'll get canned again.

x2 NoNoNoNoNoNo is definitely not profiteering on this or flipping. He may have a bad rap in some quarters but he's not out to shaft anyone on this. I know people have a down on him for various reasons but I will say that NoNoNoNoNoNo has always been helpful and generous to a fault with me and I like him.

I must save cash for these.

NoNoNoNoNoNo did email me earlier asking if it was ok to sell them as he wants to get a set of the audeze. I don't mind, he's after the same phones as me and he has had them a while.

dang, was just down there sanding to shape.. shit that's a nice sander. Rubs the wood down almost as fast as my belt sander. Ack $400!!!!!

Not exactly bought, but I went to the woodcraft and asked if I could borrow a festool rotex sander to give it a test drive to see if it's worth the 400 it'll cost if I liek it.

i got mine used and it was pretty sluggish, especially running fusion and windows 7 until i slapped in 2 gigs of ram much better now I still need to figure out the least painful way to stuff a 500gb disk in there the standard 80 is a bit crimping

I tried the earlier version of ipod to mac and it said I needed newer than 10.4, I have 10.6. So I got the latest and it's shareware with a 19 buck fee!

Well It's happened, I just got a mac mini. Now it'll be question time. I looked at various adapters but couldn't find one that has a mini output for video and sound, does one exist? Failing that, one that outputs component video. Also, any clue how I can transfer what's on my ipod to the mini? I can't seem to find a plain old transfer function from in itunes... which I still dislike.
