  1. That's not funny because it is true.
  2. You're not married, are you?

    Canjam 2010.

Single saddest thing my eyes have lit on all day. And I just finished rereading The Good Soldier this morning.
  4. So, roughly how much are my O2s being under-driven by the 007t right now? Because they still sound pretty damn good. I will accept either percentage estimates, "a lot" or "don't be a freaking douche", but am semi-serious as I've not yet had the chance to try any other amps with them except under meet conditions.
  5. Big Country -- The Crossing Vinyl
  6. They all count.
  7. I'm rooting for the Aussies!
  8. Robbie Robertson -- Robbie Robertson Vinyl
  9. Added to shortlist. Thanks Tom! Nice looking Zyx, Zippy.
  10. Epic win. East Coast! East Coast!
  11. Built To Spill -- Perfect From Now On Vinyl
  12. No hassle at all. I'll set it up with the Nate-F1s, which are a rather decent combo.
  13. This is looking like a heavily stat meet. Bob said I could bring his HP4 along for the dynamic laggards, if there's interest in having that there?
  14. Yay Audioengine! I think she'll like them.
  15. Built To Spill -- Keep It Like A Secret Vinyl.
  16. Thanks Tom. I'm really happy with it and (he says foolishly) think my TT upgrade lust is sated for a good while -- likely until I can afford an Avid, which won't be anytime soon! Starting to think about looking for a new cart to try out, though. Any of you lads have strong opinions about particular options in the $1K (used) category? I've been keeping an eye out for a Shelter 7000 or Benz Ruby, but am very much open to suggestions.
  17. Built To Spill -- You In Reverse Vinyl
  18. It happens.
  19. It's also damn quiet. Think I'm now getting about as much noise from the 007t as from the average record.
  20. Talking Heads -- Remain In Light Vinyl
  21. Which Ω?
  22. I've never had a chance to swap just the turntable before, while keeping everything else the same. It's pretty mind-blowing how much of a difference there is in the sound of the two.
  23. Roughly set up the new OL turntable and just now giving it a first spin. Initial impression -- BIG dynamics compared to the Gyro.
  24. Relly nice!
  25. You can get a Sony XA-5400ES for under $1,000 used and not much more than that new, if you scout around. It is an excellent player.
