I have to say, I've been using mine for the past couple of weeks sporadically and after you get music loaded onto it it's actually really nice. The interface is every bit as intuitive as the Ipod (at least for me) and well it just works which is all I really care about. I can't say anything about the relative sound quality as I'm usually listening with a 100db tractor going in the background but it got me through the yard this weekend. For $99 or $79 it's really hard to pass up and I'm looking forward to seeing if they got anything better in the next round of software.

Well if there's anyone left with a wallet big enough for the L3ks you might want to hop over HF. jp#'s listed his AKZip recabled pair and is entertaining offers north of $2k. That's cheaper than the last few stock pairs have gone for. Too bad it's about 4x what I could spend on a pair of headphones right now!

Ray's layout is very different from Justin's from a technical perspective but I agree, visually they are strikingly similar. Rays DAC is basically a Bithead, Justin's is more along the lines of the Ultra Micro DAC - to make a comparison to existing products. Rays amp section is just a detuned Hornet (same layout, different opamps), I don't know enough about the Pico to speak about its amplification section.well the word on the street is ray has indicated he is bringing the predator down to the florida meet. i suspect there is more than a 70% chance he will kept his word. he's had about three months to copy Justin's layout and overall design implementation, but internal layout and looks is where the similarities end.

I ordered the stuff for the cable today: 4 pin XLR m/f -> 1/4 adapter via mini mogami neglex. I'm not currently balanced, but who's to say I wont stay this way
