I edited as I'd posted the wrong watch. This is the white one:

Thoughts on this GMT: vs the titanium diver Leaning towards the diver but that's a nice looking watch
  3. Happy Birthday Ed! I hope everything goes well today.

I'm not a rule breaker I guess. I'm leaning towards the Seiko as I have wanted a spring drive for over a decade

No I mean wearing on weekends and not worrying. My Zenith El Primero Moonphase is dressy enough for me on the rare occasions I dress up. That Tudor adjusting strap is pretty sweet. Appreciate the suggestions!

I am leaning towards work but I like complications. That Tudor is nice but why pay almost a grand more to change the side of crown?

She's decided on the Chanel (which is what I figured). So what watches (other than Rolex) do you like in the $5-7kUSD range. Looking at the SBGA031 and Nomos time zone one. I already have a Zenith chronograph and the Breitling so I'm having a hard time. The diver seems like the best to complete the collection and I do want a spring drive.

Yeah it is bigger than I would prefer but she has substantial wrists and even my Breitling Emergency did not look bad on her. I believe that is a ETA movement but it works and is 200m which is good. I liked this:

I found a Cartier I found fetching and sent it to her but considering she got up at 4am to work I doubt she will look today. 10 year is on Friday and I'd like to order it before. I'm probably going to get a Grand Seiko SBGA031 for her to give me. I don't think she wants to go Rolex as everyone at work has a Rolex.

I know! I try to explain that to her as often as possible but she does not seem to accept it.

Neither Hermes or JLC seem to have any watches that she likes. I know Chanel is overpriced (whatever that means in the context of luxury watches) but they are nice looking watch that will work long term and this chronograph is 200m rated so she can swim in it etc.
  12. True but still fucking annoying. I would have rather have had it happen on the rallycross course

Yeah about 25% more. Still good relative to list. Now looking at Chanel and Chopard.
  14. Put curb rash on my winter setup last night

Thanks Reks, they have a sale on it right now so I did reach out to see if I could order and lock in the price. Edit: Nope. They can't and haven't carried for more than a year apparently.

Thanks for the feedback. I am on their list for when back in stock...

So who has any recommendations on where to by Omegas at a good price I'd appreciate it. I am pretty sure that I want to get my wife this for our 10 year anniversary:
  18. In VA you can look up the wait times and find the nearby ones that are not busy. Sometimes you can drive a bit more and save a lot of time.
  19. If I had that kind of budget I probably would just try to buy a prepared rally car and the shipping container of spares and race a few seasons.
  20. Nice sim! I don't have your refined taste but for me that Jeep is meh
  21. Happy Birthday!
  22. Watching Super Bowl very lucky I turned it on about an hour ago and walked off because Comcast Internet and X1 platform (which allows channels to be changed etc) are down and should come back sometime after the game. I am unable to change channels but I have the right one on and I have my kid tethered to my work phone. So we are in business.
  23. Wish I could be there. Have fun everyone!
  24. Well if I actually do it yes I will obviously invite the Mexican hillbilly
