I just had one of the drumsticks from yesterday and a piece of banana bread. Tonight will be more turkey and pecan pie.

It's usually around $90 here so jumped on it when I saw it.

The consensus was about even split between the smoked and the fried turkey. I think the smoked was easily as good so I think I will retire my fryer. It takes less time but it's more of a pita, especially clean up.

Happy Thanksgiving Head-Case. I have much to be thankful for and wish the same for all of you. Getting ready to roll out the dough for two pecan pies. The smoker is ready for one turkey which I will start around 12:30 and the fryer is out for the second turkey which I will start around 4:30. I hope it all turns out okay.

I guess I can wait.

My smoker is arriving today, a day earlier so I may try to smoke a small chicken as dry run, if I can figure out how to use the Traeger. We like the smaller turkeys as well.
