Dan, go to Guitar Center, buy it, try it, and return it if you don't like it, return it. If there is no Guitar Center, call Sweetwater, ask for Paul Allen, tell him I referred you and that you want the $10 overnight deal and you can return it to him in the same 30 days.

I was home for about 45 minutes with it going back and forth between it and the Cosecant. I had to do some volume matching as the Duet with the volume up was a louder than the Cosecant. I tried to over compensate a bit with the Cosecant and give it a slight advantage. The Duet is surprisingly good. I've already tried the new Cayin usb Dac and it was beaten pretty handily by the Cosecant. The Duet may be serious competition. The bass is deep, maybe deeper than the Cosecant. The soundstage may be more 3 dimensional and just as wide. I may stop at Radio Shack and by a volume meter (whatever they are called) to do an exact volume match. I am pretty excited by this. If I can replace the Cosecant with something that costs much less, then my tt budget increases significantly.

It appears from your post that you should be the last calling anyone a baby. I enjoy this site, it's not a secret and it's my choice to participate here. I've never been told or pressured to do otherwise by anyone. However, as much I would miss the dual members over there (I mean that), Mastergill, you don't really believe that a boycott by members here would do anything to change the things you don't like about HF? I don't have this personal direct line to Jude and even if I did, I would not share what he was thinking with you. However, if permitting mention of HC on HF was important (I don't believe tkam or Reks care, which I understand) do you think calling Jude a baby and calling for a boycott is going to accomplish that? If you do, I can tell you in no uncertain terms you would be wrong. You can choose to talk about things of which you have no knowledge. I would suggest however, that if you believe a boycott, will accomplish something, then you should go right ahead.

I don't get it, there are so many people that would buy them if the had the ability to sync an Outlook calendar. It will work with an exchange server and get Outlook email, why not the calendar. It makes no sense. If they go 3G I may go for it anyway. Having my calendar would be great but I've gone all this time without it.

Rumor has it they are working on the syncing issue. The 3G will be here some time this year.

My wife has an iPhone and it is a great device. I'll get one when the 3G version is released and Apple either licenses Active Sync or creates its own version that will let me sync an Outlook calendar.

But think of all the money you'll make.

Go with Nate's cables. I have a pair and they are excellent. They compare well to my previous cables that beat out a pair of Soundstring cables.
