June 24, 20224 yr Sadly, I have a noisy family. No but seriously they are real noisy. I listen currently to SR-007A Mk2 with KGST, but need a pair of closed back non-stats, which will be run off my PureBipolar. I have collected names, and have so far Focus Stellia or ZMF Verite Closed or Kennerton Rognir. A shop some hours away has 2/3 of these in stock. The question really is, for a stat devotee listening to acoustic music (classical and jazz) will any of these be acceptable in the aim to help me forget my family? Or will they all make me run screaming from the house instead?

June 28, 20224 yr If you don't mind the weight, the LCD-XC is easily the best closed-back I ever owned. The carbon fibre headband helps.
February 26, 20233 yr Get a Stax SR003 and the cs1 kit. Isolates very well If you are taking it somewhere there is the SR002 iem portable. I have the SR002 and an adapter so I can use it with a SRM 212. The little battery operated amp is actually pretty good.
February 26, 20233 yr Another IEM alternative to the JH13 is the UERM - you need to get them custom moulded and they're a touch pricier than the JH13, but they are gloriously neutral. I can highly recommend getting the little limiter/impedance matching box to go with them, too- then you can plug them into anything without any nasty surprises.
February 27, 20233 yr The KSE headphones are great but the amps are trash. Luckily China has us covered as you can get them now fitted with a Stax plug for very little money. Don't use them on Pro bias though, only normal bias outputs.
