August 1, 200817 yr Has anybody seen these? I kinda doubt it, but figured I'd ask. Something about them has been calling me for a while, now. They are 'studio' phones according to AT. Audio-Technica - Microphones, headphones, wireless microphone systems, noise-cancelling headphones & more : ATH-M50 : Professional Studio Monitor Headphones
August 1, 200817 yr THE W5000 IS GOOD HOW CAN ANYONE NOT LIKE A CLOSED WOOD CAN THAT ACTUALLY SOUNDS THIN? ITS LIKE HOW WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING UGLY YOU CANT STOP STARING
August 7, 200817 yr Author So they definitely have a 'studio' sound to them. More linear than the other AT's I've had in the past. No real glaring faults, as yet.
August 7, 200817 yr Author Peter, I grabbed them off ebay from a local seller. They are out of them now, but I paid $105 shipped. I'll keep an eye out for you. RoadDogOnline has them for a decent price, too. They have a listing on ebay, and their own site. I also almost purchased them from The Twiser Group's website. I think they would have come in at about $115 shipped or so. Chris, They have decent isolation for a headphone. Better than my old VTG (I miss it so much, and coincidently if anyone has one, or knows of someone, please forward it along) but not as good as any IEM I ave tried. The bass has already opened up, but ths may partly be due to unfamiliar music. I'll put some more familiar stuff on next.
August 7, 200817 yr No, that's alright, that was "for future reference". I haven't even picked up a pair of ATH-A500, yet...
August 7, 200817 yr I have to confess, I've been re-considering getting a certain ATH phone for my office.
