Its not quite done yet... I just picked up a nice butcherblock for $15 and some nice feet... also have some rubber spacers Im going to use for a bit more vibration control... havent fired it up yet but will in the next day or two once I get it done.

if it's a bit loud externally but keeps the overall noise floor in the signal lower, that's not a bad tradeoff - just hide that thing in a closet or something. i know i never hear my melos hum when the music's playing - it's just a bit of an annoyance when all is quiet.
