Ryan Adams quits music

Featured Replies

he'll be back. having said that I'm glad I'll be catching him on this tour. he is probably my favorite recording artist alive today.

"I miss Kentucky, and I miss my family,

all the sweetest winds they blow across the South..."

Sinatra also "quit." BA will be back.

It's not BRYAN adams, it's RYAN. MASSIVE difference, even from 1 letter.

Thank you for pointing that out.

Anyone ever hear him live? I did once, and I have to say he sure was... drunk. Yup, definitely drunk, and that was about all I remember, other than a vague feeling of disappointment after hearing nothing but RA hype for weeks in advance of the show. Apparently he makes a fine record (I've never listened to his recordings), but his performance record is pretty spotty from what I've heard and experienced. Hopefully he emerges from wherever he is rejuvenated and with a bit more inspiration.

^^^^I've heard some of his live recordings; the quality varies. Personnally I like his live recording better than his commercial offerings.

Ryan Adams Live at Das Haus is one of the best I've heard thus far.

he quit drinking a few years ago, and his shows have been pretty solid since then. he allows tapers to patch through the soundboard, so tons of high quality lossless live shows are available free at the Ryan Adams Archive. check 'em out.

Ah, that's good. I'll have to check those shows out.
