  1. You know my thoughts on this, Ian, but you gave her the best life that I can imagine she ever would have gotten. It would have been wonderful if there had been more time, but such is the nature of these things in that I'm not sure we ever get as much as we would have liked to have.
  2. I decided to kick my own ass yesterday. 76 miles, 4300ft of climbing including a half mile long section at +10% right in the middle of the ride. I did a bad job hydrating and consequently ended up cramping badly for the last 11 miles. Still managed the whole trip at a bit over 16mph which is a lot slower than I'd hoped but by the end I was just happy to survive.
  3. What you should really be wondering is if I have any clue on how to set the fit.
  4. So our May ride got rained out (the family friendly ride). Today, however, was our makeup ride and wrap-up party. About 15-20 of us made it out to do a ten mile ride at the riverpark, along the TN River. Xavier and I rode, and he was the youngest participant by at least 6 years. We wound up being swept and came in right as they were serving burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches. We ate lunch, had the award ceremony (where our team won largest team), and then we said goodbye for a few more months to some Diabetes association friends and we signed up to do the 25 mile ride together next year. After everyone packed up, Xavier wanted to ride some more, so we did enough to make him realize he needed some bike shorts, so we called it a night and headed home. Thanks to everyone who supported us and the cause to help Diabetes awareness and research, it's really appreciated! All in all, we raised 123,000$ in the Chattanooga Tour de Cure! A little short of our goal, but still a pretty solid showing. <3 Brent

  7. I think you should just get a new fit when you get your new bike... And then have them set up the C'dale as well for a few bucks. **BRENT**
  8. Definitely aluminum (Cannondale) bike, forget if the old bottom bracket was aluminum or steel threads, but it was 100g heavier than the new one. I ended up switching the derailleurs between the two bikes, so now have all ultegra 6500 on the cannondale, new KMC X9.93 chain, and a new front derailleur cable, and then went out for a spin. Felt good, even though I am still super slow: http://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/556708808
