  1. Cool. Got the contact for PR, will call tomorrow for sample. God I love this job. You just call someone and have them send you the headphones. What a deal.

  4. When I called to cancel last year, they asked if they could move me to inactive instead. I said only if there was no chance it'd reactivate. Then they asked if I wanted a free 6 month subscription instead. I said only i there was no chance I'd get billed after that, as I was never going to pay for their service again. I still get emailed offers to rejoin for $25 a year that I ignore. We've since gotten 2 cars with Sirius/XM radios in them, and I haven't activated either because I refuse to do business with a company that decided that the business model they wanted to follow was Columbia House CDs.

  5. ^^^ Didn't see this until after the vid, but that was my favorite part of the video too.

  6. NYC public schools canceled for the rest of the week and my office is closed for the rest of the week, too. I've never seen anything like this in my almost 40 years in NYC. Battery Park City, ironically, is something of an oasis downtown due to the fact that we have power and stores open. People are out and about, joggers, bikers, etc. Yet we are surrounded by power outages. We're very very lucky. Time to take Little Monkey trick or treating in the building soon.

  7. Power out below 39th Street, except somehow Battery Park City. It looks like from what I can tell so far that the water is sweeping through BPC (not good) to even lower areas internally. Somehow that may be advantageous to my building. We'll see. Upper East Side unaffected. Caviar is fine.

  8. Two of my flights already cancelled for this week. Hoping the Friday flight is not cancelled as it is the only one I actually wanted to take. Not much going on here but I am really hoping the pond in my backyard does not overflow into my walk out basement. Tried to go to Home Depot yesterday and it was a nightmare with nothing worthwhile left in the store so I went to Dick's and bought ammo. Storm Supplies: 1,000 rounds of .45 1,000 rounds of .223 200 rounds of .357 Magnum 8 Hot Dogs (All that was freaking left) 8 D Batteries (All that was left) I am ready for the Zombies if they come.

  9. What an enormous pain in the ass. Battery Park City evacuated again of course. I sent the Boy and his mother to her mom's but I'm not in any mood to leave. Thinking about adopting a dog and being that guy with the dog...
