  1. We are staying at the Honua Kai Resort and Spa (in a studio ocean view room) in Kaanapali. It seemed to get good reviews on tripadvisor, the rooms looked very modern, and they have kitchens. Unfortunately, I don't eat any seafood so I probably won't rush right over to the sushi place. We haven't really figured out what we are going to do while we are there but I am sure some hikes and snorkeling will be in the agenda. Should I smuggle some wine/scotch in my suitcase?
  2. It is a sipping rum for "special" people. Didn't know they made it in a can or exported it. Having some 2009 Nieto Senetiner Reserva Malbec - not bad.
  3. Congrats on the raise Brent, that is a nice number. Hubby and I "bought" (ok... we used ff miles) business/first class plane tickets and made hotel reservations for our trip to Maui this summer!
  4. Last night: Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shut-down Ale on draught
  5. Happy Birthday CJ!
  6. I could drink that.
  7. I suppose that would still be drinkable.
  8. Very awesome Bryan, congrat!!! Al: The trip looks great!
  9. Agreed and agreed! Having a Screwdriver with Tito's Handmade Vodka and Simply Orange Juice High Pulp. Takes me back to college (except then I was probably using Tropicana and Stoli).
  10. Started out opening up a bottle of 2010 Alamos Malbec. The taste was bad and the smell reminded me of puke... so it was dumped. Now I am having some 2008 Norton Reserva Malbec - about a million times better than the Alamos. Since I am not asian, I thought it would be quite inappropriate to post a shirtless pic though.
  11. Happy Birthday Scott!
  12. Happy birthday Justin (even though you so cheater).
  13. At some point I had a plan to build my own compost tumbler. I had a difficult time trying to find a decent priced but sturdy bin to make it out of so today I gave in and bought a Lifetime Compost Tumbler from Lowe's. I started putting it together, thinking that it would actually be easier than building one from scratch. I am not so sure. Do they actually do a practice build before putting these on the market (including screws that are too long for their purpose, etc.)?
  14. Dang, that sucks Ric...
  15. I having no trouble making is disappear.
  16. A Manhattan-like drink... 2 oz Wild Turkey Rare Breed 1 oz Punt E Mes 1 dash Regans' orange bitters 1 dash cherry bitters pretty good.
  17. Wayne, you really are starting to look like Santa!
  18. @Ric: If you want the Parasound back, I would be perfectly happy to sell it back to you. It is awesome but don't really *need* it (and it is a little bit larger than I would prefer to have on my desk). Just let me know.
  19. Congrat Ian!
  20. Unless I have been sleep posting, it is safe to assume I didn't post that. Anyway, why would I know anything about cock bars?
  21. Will look for this. I like Malbec. Jeez Al, you know how to travel!
  22. Wait, wut? What did the edited post say? I usually only edit a post for typos or clarifications, and usually within a minute or so of the original post. What did I miss? Thanks for looking out for me Greg.
  23. Airplane Negronis! Nice. I have been wanting to compare a couple of my favorite DIPAs and got a change to go it today: Dreadnaught and Pliny the Elder. The winner: Dreadnaught, but they are both mighty fine beers.
