  1. The Scooby-Doo Movies: Wednesday is Missing A slice of nostalgia from 1972 – I thought it was interesting considering the recent releases of the new Velma series and Wednesday: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7tn6a8 * This episode is not available on home video in the U.S. due to rights issues with the Addams Family. And... the first Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? episode, What A Night for a Knight, first aired September 13, 1969: https://www.topcartoons.tv/cartoon/what-a-night-for-a-knight-1/
  2. Sony announces less money boxes: https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2023/01/new-sony-walkman-music-players-feature-stunning-good-looks-android-12/ I guess they don't expect to sell many of these things... my main concern is on the feasibility of battery replacement, which is not discussed. My 3rd-generation iPod Shuffle is still working on its original battery, which is not bad for a device from 2009.
  3. Indie bands have been releasing cassettes for a few years, but now a new cassette player has been released. I was cleaning my place and stumbled on some old cassettes... taking some time to listen through all of them (especially since many of them are unlabeled/mislabeled) on my ancient Walkman. Unfortunately, this new player doesn't measure or perform very well, but perhaps it will stir the big players into producing something better. https://www.wearerewind.com

  9. Saw this article on Ars Technica today... seems to be relevant: Discmaster, a website archive of floppy discs and CD-ROMs files, etc. that includes automatic media playback: https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2022/10/lost-something-search-through-91-7-million-files-from-the-80s-90s-and-2000s/
