Mike, good job on starting to ride! Keep on keeping on, you'll be surprised how quick you improve in little time. 54 miles yesterday plus a metric century today. I am beat but overall a good weekend for me. I'm really enjoying the Sunday group I ride with, not too big to be annoying and too mentally exhausting but big enough to not have to pull a lot. Plus just the right amount of testosterone intervals to keep me happy And the best part is the Sunday group rolls out at 8am, none of this 7am rollout bullshit.

Oh it wasn't that hot. It averaged 86, my Garmin read 100+ as I left my bike outside in the sun while eating lunch.

Did the Warrior Century today. Almost crashed within the first 12 miles and I luckily avoided running over this guy who hit the deck. Unfortunately, the lady who owns the shop who put together the event whacked her head pretty hard and got a concussion. Waited for her to get picked up to ride back to the shop and rode with a much smaller group which was good as we avoided riding with the front group of cyclodouches. Picked up the front group eventually then dropped them with around 10 miles to go. Best thing is that I made new riding friends today. I'm exhausted and extra brown but all in all a great day

I'm almost like Ben. I average 140ish on group rides and high 140's to 150's on solo ride. If I've been drinking the night before, that solo average can be closer to 160's I can hit 185, even 190 on real balls out efforts but not very often.

Is this serious Jeff or funny Jeff talking? Got out at 645 this morning to make a beach trip with my family but it was so humid that I was soaked within 30 mins of leaving my place

Never tried Squirt but I've used Rock and Roll Gold and Extreme with both good results. I ride quite a bit but I only have to lube every couple of weeks.

Put in 100 miles this weekend. Had a pretty good ride today - 64 miles - longest solo ride for me ever. Came across this Chris Froome looking fella early on and I thought he would drop me in less than a mile but I ended up trading pulls with him for 5-6 miles before he went a different way. I was definitely riding beyond my means so it was good that he didn't stick around much longer. Overall a good weekend of riding, I definitely prefer to suffer in the heat
