What are you drinking now, pt 2.
Sorry to hear about work Mike. Long day at work too today as it is the last day of the quarter. Had a few drams of pappy 20 yr and van winkle rye as soon as 5PM struck. As far as I'm concerned, 5pm onwards is my time so even if I'm working OT, I can do whatever the fuck I want. The joys of working from home Still more work shit to do but I gotta draw the line, been working since 730am. Lesson learned - I'm taking the last few days of the 2nd quarter off!

I think I'm becoming a Jacob copycat....I was drinking Diet Mt Dew Supernova an hour ago. Not really their best flavor though

Happy birthday Duggeh!

Slummin it like Jacob too.....5 Miller Lites for $10.70 at the local bar At least they're low calorie!

I second this motion! One of my favorite IPAs regardless of ABV. I was able to pick up a lone bomber near my friend's house 3 hours away when I was visiting. Too bad they don't carry Ballast Point around my place. BTW, Big Eye IPA is good too - not as smooth as Sculpin but has a little more hop bite if that's what you're looking for.

Sorry Dusty but I was really underwhelmed by the Wake Up Dead. At least we both agree on Weyerbacher Tiny.... IMO Tiny blows Wake up Dead away.

Left Hand Barrel Aged Wake Up Dead - mediocre and kinda thin for an Imperial Stout

Happy Birthday Voltron
Awesome news Al! I'm pouring a drink to your mother's continued improvement!

Post the last thing you bought!
Thanks Mike, I do like the VW Rye so I'm glad I grabbed the last bottle. Hopefully the dive bar/liquor store I got it from will get more in. As for the Eagle Rare, I'm kinda conflicted on it....very simple tasting but easy to drink. Almost too kind for a bourbon. I guess at $28/bottle, it's not bad.

Happy Birthday Al! Have a great day celebrating and as Gene said, thanks for doing what you do!

Mike, my local liqour occasionally has Heresy but I haven't seen it in the past few weeks. I'll let you know if it pops up again. Personally, I prefer Tiny but that only comes in 750ml bottles.- What are you drinking now, pt 2.
$7 for a bomber? I felt lucky buying it at 8.99!- What are you drinking now, pt 2.
Polished off the remaining Weyerbacher Tiny I had from last night then popped open a CCB Papaya IPA which I'm now drinking by the pool. IPA in a plastic cup = WIN- Tampa Beer Meet II, Hunahpus release. March 12, 2011
Had a fucking blast yesterday at Hunahpu Day! I got there around 230pm and some of the beers I wanted to try were gone by then but there was still a great selection. \ This year's Hunahpu is better than last year's IMO; I've always thought Hunahpu was a little too intense for me but found the 2011 brew to be a little sweeter and a lot more drinkable. Maybe it's just my beer taste developing over the last few years as opposed to the this year's brew being that different but in any case, I'm now a fan! I didn't really get a chance to snap pics as I was busy enjoying the many beers on hand but here's one I just took just to rub it in to y'all who couldn't make it- Happy Birthday Fitz!
Happy Birthday Fitz! Now go get laid!- And now what did you do TODAY?
Condolences, Nate and Driftwood. Mike, sorry about the bad news regarding your mother in law. I can't imagine how you feel right now but I wish you and your family the best. All these sad news makes me feel really lucky about my life, particularly just being alive and healthy.- Happy Birthday, n_maher!!!
Happy Birthday Nate!- What are you drinking now, pt 2.
Southern Tier Imperial Iniquity Black Ale. Quite yummy and drinkable despite the 9% content. Similar to CCB Either but not as boozy and not quite as complex - more like a poor man's Either.- Happy Birthday Craig Sawyers!
Happy Birthday Craig!- Hey Head-Case, what's your bandwidth like?
