Hopefully the job is nothing like Navy bootcamp, but at least there "not a morning person" ceases within two days. May seem a ridiculous comparison (and the back issue is separate, of course), but if this job or another looks positive in other respects, believe me everyone can adapt to the hours. Everyone.

I think I'm approaching the six year mark (and didn't use much a couple years before that though was free). Hulu Plus (TV & Criterion), Netflix (though quality has really suffered over time), BitTorrent, and other web streaming covers enough screen time for me.

So far I like it quite a bit better than these guys.

^ Favorite Mike Nichols tidbit since his passing - Dustin Hoffman was convinced by Nichols to play The Graduates very WASPy character (in book) by saying "Well, maybe he's a Jew on the inside."
