  1. Nice that you let your instructor take a couple laps in your car to capture a passable video. Glad you had fun; can't wait to beat you in PCars this week. **BRENT**
  2. "Dill crema" on the trout. But would have been better with gravy. **BRENT**
  3. Brunch with an old friend today. Spent a couple hours over 4 courses catching up on the past 10-15 years. Award Winning Wings Shawn was torn between the biscuit and gravy and the trout, so I said to go with the trout and we'd have Biscuit and Gravy for 2nd appetizer NC Rainbow Trout for my friend Chicken and Waffles Chocolate and Caramel Cheesecake Not pictured: 6 mimosas and an order of bacon. **BRENT**
  4. 5. I'd probably stay away from the cheaper Core-M3 one, but i7/8GB should be fine for the other stuff you want to do. **BRENT**
  6. The Tkam is wise; either of those suggestions would work incredibly well. I'd probably go XPS 13 or 15, because most of my laptoping is NOT at a desk. I have an HP Pavilion X2 for my work rig, and it's a budget windows tablet/PC, but there is no way I could handle that form factor as an only machine. FWIW, I'm on an i7 ultrabook with a late 2012 build date, and if it just had a proper amount of ram, it would still be fantastic. As it stands (with 4GB) I have 50+ Chrome tabs open, along with Steam, and a few other things. I've even done some light gaming on this. 1080p touchscreen is fantastic on this size, but if you go for a 15, do 4k. Oh, if you're going to be doing rounds and whatnot and having it, definitely go SP4. If it's more classroom/after school/main laptop, XPS. **BRENT**
  7. On the bright side, Chris, my biscuit was delicious. Get better. **BRENT**

Sounds like you need a 1080. I haven't noticed any issues in quite a while, since the first few days of playing with it. The last couple long sessions I've had have been artifact free, or at least artifact-unobtrusive. **BRENT**

I'm supposed to give Rift back to buddy tonight, but I'm going to see about delaying that til tomorrow so we can maybe play some DR tonight. **BRENT**

Heh. All my stuff will show up in Xavier's account as well. Perhaps I should just get it on his handle and be like "You're grounded!" **BRENT**

I'm at work; it's blocked. What's it called? **BRENT**
  16. Good start. The water sprayer is handy to cool things down eventually, but you'll figure that out later. **BRENT**

I'm down for some drinking heavily and KF2 this weekend. When is the VR version coming out? I have this Rift and want to use it. **BRENT**
  18. Nice, Chris. Do you have a good, accurate pressure gauge? You should get one. Also, IR thermometer to get temps. Also, bring someone to record all of this in a huge spreadsheet with ambient temps, surface temps, tire temps, etc. Bring a water sprayer to spray the tires down. Also, make sure the guy with the computer is wearing a lab coat. **BRENT**
  19. Did 17.6 in a group ride last night. Was within 20 seconds of the last time I did it. I think I need some aero wheels and Shimano 9100 to drop me a minute. **BRENT**
  20. You should buy all the things. **BRENT**

I still don't think that was him. How do you go from 4 minutes/lap behind to actually winning? **BRENT**
  22. This. **BRENT**
  23. Shelly, TheSweetHome and TheWirecutter are fantastic sites. I used to do tons of research on things (a hobby, because I'm often bored,) and the things I had researched greatly, I checked out the thoughts of TSH/TWC. What I found lined up rather well with what they had, and their reasonings for their choices are fairly sound. With some of the electronic stuff, they had people who I'd trusted reviews of for years, so it seems like they get good people. FWIW, I have an Oral-B 5000 (a more expensive version of what they recommend) and I dig it. it's 150$ in stores, but my dentist had it for 100$, with 67% more heads, toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash, and a 20$ rebate. Since I have tax on amazon, and none of this, it wound up being 25$ more than the entry level one, with some bonus stuff that gets used. My rec? If you like the sensitive head for your Oral-B, get a 1000 and some sensitive heads for it. If you didn't love it, give the Sonicare a shot. Also, you can probably keep your old Oral-B around and use it to clean grout/around small things in the kitchen/bathroom. If you did that and went with the new Oral-B, you could still keep using old brush heads for cleaning (I'm sure you'd be fine just soaking them in some alcohol to sanitize them, right?) **BRENT**
  24. Shelly, I have a buddy who was just talking about needing a PnS camera. The S95 would possibly be of interest if you were looking to unload it. **BRENT**
