Since the old thread seems to be gone, here's the new one to post what games you're playing!

I'm still on my Final Fantasy XIV binge, because there's so goddamn much still for me to do in it despite the countless hours I've logged playing it. When I'm not busy just being the prettiest miqo'te in the game, that is.

  • Baldur's Gate 3 I was sick with a summer cold last week and had some time to sink in to this. I have never played Dungeons and Dragons before, but I spent the last few weeks studying up on it in

  • Now that my PC has been taken off life support by upgrading to 16 gigs of ram and a 1060, I can play so many more games without causing another chernobyl in my bedroom.

Still mostly car games here. Turned "pro" in Dirt Rally. Would love to do some Project Cars racing again.

At some point I will get the head tracking system.

I went to be really early yesterday as I've been sick. If I'm up and available I'd be in for an hour or so of racing at 1030.

Ordered a TrackIR5 with Pro Clip, should be here this weekend.

I'm glad I cancelled my Oculus pre-order, but its annoying to keep hearing over and over again that PCars is fantastic on it.

I'm sure it is but I'd say you still made the right choice. For my use case it still makes little sense. In 3 years when I don't have to be listening every second to hear if one of my kids is trying to kill themselves then maybe.

Be careful with the Pro Clip.  The thing will break if you look at it wrong.

FFXIV looks fun, but then I remember I've mostly sworn off MMO.

Yeah I've heard lots of negative stuff. I'll 3D print a clip if it breaks and finally put my printer to good used.

I intend to be there, although a may be a little late, because, life.

Should we set up a regular evening? Tuesday night throw down? Wheelspin Wednesday? Etc...

^ At least last night we were racing with realistic driving aids and realistic damage so that was much less prevalent than in the past which is a good thing in my book.

Are you trying to tell me it was not "driving by bouncing of walls and other cars"?  I am not sure I can believe that.

^ It really wasn't (unless caused by driver error). I even had a few entirely clean races, I also had ones where I messed up and ripped off a wheel ;)

You mean the walls aren't a supplemental steering and braking system?

Grahame actually completed more than one lap while missing a wheel. Talk about persistence.

I imagine it more just sheer determination towards finding a way to somehow ram someone else off the track into catastrophic damage too.

I didn't realize how bad off he was and didn't expect to lap him. He was following the racing line in the middle of a turn as I was coming off a medium high speed stretch.

Good thing I had about ten seconds on Chris and $ or I may have lost that one.

**BRENT**

Yeah I was going to point out that when you have that kind of damage you are supposed to get off the racing line but then I remembered who I would be speaking to and left it alone.

No he got lapped, but he was still hogging the racing line as if he wasn't limping along.
