  1. I love it here, unfortunately I also love warm weather Plus it's hard to turn down an incredibly good job offer, plus live close to my girlfriend's parents who have already started to help me look for an apartment.
  2. Right now it looks like I'm leaving New England before the Boston meet :/ I can attend a mini meet before that, I'm free every weekend except the first weekend in August.
  3. JBL doesn't want to tell you the tube shitting diet. Meanie
  4. Thanks for the info hirsch
  5. New Hampshire, I used to live in the Hanover/Lebanon area but now I'm just outside Concord. Were you at the last Boston meet? Where in CT are you? I was in New Haven for 5 weeks last year rotating at Yale New Haven Hospital.
  6. I'm actually going to Foxwoods on Monday One of my friends took Monday off, it's just under 3 hours away. I'll probably play some 2/4 for a couple of hours but mostly will be playing craps with my friend (he must have a lucky rabbits foot up his ass)
  7. Yeah low limits at a casino are fun, it's more laid back. Once you get to 10/20 or 20/40 that's where the guys that are playing for a living are.
  8. We used to play once a week when I was in high school. We played pretty much every variant of poker (7 card, holdem, anaconda, low in the hole, roll your own, etc). Usually $10-15 buy in with 7-8 people, it was fun. I still play holdem with some "new" people I met, but that's pretty much all they play. Similar buy in, tourny rules. I've played a couple of times at the casino, real low limits like 2/4, it's not bad. My friend (one of the guys from high school that started the poker thing amongst us) played for a living for a couple of years. Either on partypoker or at Foxwoods, he averaged about $60k a year.
  9. It's just one of those gut feelings I have. 7308 white label PQs in gorgeous condition lettering almost 100% intact selling for so little (looking at his feedback/past auctions). And then the humble mention of being retired and having a stockpile of them just doesn't feel right.
  10. Make sure those BB's aren't fake. Their market price is around $70-120 a pair on Audiogon. I'm really skeptical that those 7308s are real.
  11. Nice, thanks. The underside of the CD is silver, and looks like every other retail CD I've owned.
  12. Dhaal (sort of like lentil soup) with bujis (fried dough with spinach). One of my fav South Indian dishes.
  13. Does anyone have a guide that one could use to tell apart real and pirated CDs? Yesterday I received an Arcturus disc from ebay. The seller has 80+ positive feedbacks, and most recently (before I won this auction) got a negative from a buyer saying the CD was a fake. It was for an import CD. Everything from the booklet, back insert/inside insert makes it look authentic. Even the front of the CD looks authentic. Then I look at the matrix info on the underside of the CD and it says Tocano 2001 DK 47169, IFPI LP51 and then a barcode. Googling Tocano brings up: http://www.hugohein.com/other/complete.main/specs.tocano.htm I'm going to rip it, and then look at the spectral analysis (this will at least tell me if it's burned from lossy material)
