Amp suggestions for the L3000? I know SP is getting a pretty bad rep, but I'm considering a used one \
The amp needs to have a pre-amp out, right now I'm leaning towards a MPX3 SE.
I like the L3000 soundstage for rock and jazz. More depth would be nice though, I suppose that's hard to pull off in a closed/non-deep woody.
The L3000 do rock Sabbath like no one's business.
postjack: I feel I'd be ripping you off with that trade. I just couldn't do that to ya man.
Further listening impressions: I've finally got around to playing NIN. Hearing The Downward Spiral has brought a tear to my eye.

I have problems reading some of the "cursive" from most physicians. It's a good thing almost everything is done by computer now.
My dad has his own "style" of writing, it's the most interesting chicken scratch I've ever seen. It's neither cursive or printing, but its own moon script
My dislike for the third goes beyond predictability.
The entire movie was just sort of boring. Not particularly thrilling, especially following that idiot through the "maze", which was kinda tame (save for the last guy- very cool, but Jigsaw did say it was his best rig)
I thought the first movie was ground breaking for horror/thriller movies.
The second one was alright. Nothing terrible or great.
The third one was incredibly predictable and chock full of crap. With an incredibly contrived ended. I mean everything would have had to go perfectly in order for the movie to end like that. Jigsaw seems more like a mind controlling psychic than a serial killer dieing of a brain tumor. Who knows maybe the tumor gave him magical powers?
I agree but a nib would force me to write slower (and postjack mentions requires more concentration).
Good info postjack, I appreciate it
As for the Lamy, looks don't matter I'd be using it only at home.
What would you guys recommend as a decent pen to try and improve my cursive? Right now I have this pseudo printing-cursive style from years of lecture note taking; it's not pretty. And when I write orders I have to write in block capitals to make sure nurses won't bitch about my writing
Lammy Safari?
Small update:
they extend further than than the HP-2 both top and bottom. And the bass is slightly more textured and the midrange more detailed. Right now they're on par or better than the HP-2. The HP-2 has more depth to the soundstage whereas the L3000 places deep sounds slightly to the left or right instead of further out. But it still has good depth.
Acoustic bass guitar is its strong point. You can feel the vibration followed by a pleasant decay. Electric guitars also sound more exciting and more twangy. Tonality of various guitars is faithfully reproduced.
Best PRaT out of any headphone I've ever heard.
Cool thanks for the suggestions. Right now I don't have time to learn new games. I had a 10 day buddy pass for Red Orchestra, and stopped playing after the fourth day.
I'm just enjoying CS Source and WCIII/TFT right now since I'm so familiar with them.
These are pretty bad ass with Isis as well. I haven't really listened to Panopticon in a really long time, but this is my third play through with the L3000...sweet.
