  1. I know certainly is a shame. I need to get COD2, even if I never get online. COD1 is just brilliant, the single player campaign will make you sweat. postjack: I think I'd give mmorpgs a more serious consideration if I knew any friends in real life that played. Pretty much why I enjoyed playing fps online in high school, most of my friends and I could get on the same server.
  2. Withdrew a nice chunk of money from my online portfolio, it looks like this is now happening. Any last minute thoughts (about the L3000, not $18000 pens) get them in
  3. Fistus Dickmann thanks you for downloading
  4. Yup one of my favorites The Russian level with the two abandoned buildings is my favorite online map.
  5. Do mmorpgs have a story? That's one of the big reasons I like single player RPGs. I'm playing through FFXII now, it's not bad...not great either... Are you a hobbit on lord of the rings? If so you have to say P-O-T-A-T-O-E-S if you use voice
  6. Haha, my best friend's older brother was addicted to Everquest. He failed a semester in college because of it, and he's playing World of Warcraft now. I don't know they've never really piqued my interest, but then again I've never played one. If I'm on my PC I prefer to play first person shooters, especially the World War II stuff. Or single player RPGs like Gothic or Oblivion.
  7. I'm not sure, I think there was one coming out for Nintendo 64. I haven't really followed much news, none of the current generation stuff really interests me.
  8. Great game. Nintendo should release a sequel, it would be huge.
  9. download is working again
  10. Listen to the OII before you decide to buy. You might not like the sound of stats, after owning a pair for a while I'm not a big fan of their sound.
  11. Damnit, I'll upload another tomorrow I've already deleted the mp3. I really need to sleep if I hope to get 5 hours.
  12. I think anyone that likes kraut rock should give this a listen. Like Amon Duul or Can on steroids (or more drugs). This is one of my favorite albums in the last few years. ...just looking at the album art you know this is going to be some crazy drugged out Germans making crazy drugged out music. Originally released in 1972, came back in print with Garden of Delights in Germany. Also available on vinyl (kinda pricey). The entire album is 10 tracks of progressive kraut, a pretty good rollercoaster of music. There's the non-stop guitar shredding, shrieking male vocals, female chanting, slow droning synthesizers pretty much everything you'd think of that goes hand in hand with kraut/psych. Sound quality: it's no audiophile recording, but it's pretty damn good. Being recorded in the 70's it's not squashed to hell and back. There's plenty of dynamic range, and there isn't much post processing; what you're hearing is basically just amplified instruments. Aquarius has a much more entertaining summary: Here is a sample of the first track (~100 kbps LAME MP3, so quality is ok) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OO8P6M26 So where do I buy this most righteous album? Aquarius Records (or ebay) are the only places I know of: http://aquariusrecords.org/ Aquarius is a small record store in San Francisco with truly awesome customer service. When they process your order you get a personal email from their inventory/packing people letting you know it's shipped out. They also include all sorts of cool promotional stuff like mini posters and stickers with every order. At the very least add your email to their mailing list, they stock some pretty dank stuff.
  13. I know if I wanted the ultimate dynamic amp I'd get a SinglePower, not so sure anymore now that custom build times take so long. A maxxed out Extreme in a Maestro chassis is my dream.
  14. Yeah I was looking up some of the prices on the SquareSoft stuff, it's a little silly. Then again I never was a fan of emulators, so I guess there's others that like having the original controller/playing it on their TV.
  15. Yeah I'm not sure what happened. No one in my family smokes, it's just been sitting in its original box for around 10 years. Maybe the styrofoam had something to do with it...
  16. I tested Final Fantasy II, and III and Chrono Trigger and they're all working still Plus I have Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island somewhere, oh yes and Mario RPG
  17. I grabbed my SNES and some games from my parents house this weekend. Time for some old school bedroom gaming And now time to kill innocent bunnies
  18. To add to the OP, I guess the same could be said about smoking. We had to break the news to a 37 yro gentleman that he has lung cancer. He's leaving behind two young children.
  19. Probably better answered on their forums: http://forums.slimdevices.com/
  20. If you went the Transporter route, you could use the hardrives in your gaming PC to store music, and use wireless to stream to another room. There are mods for the analog output stage of the Transporter as well.
  21. I agree.
  22. How many people have this $18k pen? Wait there's no subforum for Maki-e...
  23. hungrch you could transcode the wma to aac which is the lossy itunes codec. I wouldn't mind just the 28 mb wma since it will work on foobar
  24. If someone could transcode it to a lossy codec (I don't care what) and upload it so it's much smaller I'd listen.
