secret of mana is the shit!! the fucking shit!!!

great game!

I still view the SNES time as the Golden Age for console gaming, as a whole. What a great system that was...and still is! :)

Brilliant. Just brilliant.

Too bad I only have a PlayStation 2 at the moment.

It definitely had some damned good games on it, but SNES was the almighty king of all and you know it. ;)

I dunno, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Gunstar Heroes are hard to beat.... and don't forget lesser known stuff like Vectorman!

Yeah, all of those were great games indeed.

I tested Final Fantasy II, and III and Chrono Trigger and they're all working still :D

Plus I have Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island somewhere, oh yes and Mario RPG

Holy crap, I've seen some yellowed SNES but yours is by far the most yellow of all!

I still have my SNES and it's still got its lavendar tint. :P The cartridges are starting to go wonky though. Especially my FF3. *sigh*

Yeah I'm not sure what happened. No one in my family smokes, it's just been sitting in its original box for around 10 years. Maybe the styrofoam had something to do with it...

Wow, I thought it was a limited edition "gold" one or something that had worn. That's pretty yellowed..

My early model PS1 has done much the same thing. Oddly though my SNES hasn't.

Secret of Mana is one of the best games ever. It still fetches some serious money on Ebay, though I'll never part with my copy.

Yeah I was looking up some of the prices on the SquareSoft stuff, it's a little silly. Then again I never was a fan of emulators, so I guess there's others that like having the original controller/playing it on their TV.

Thats awesome, I've been loving the old games on my Wii... no secret of mana yet though. :(

We all agree on the Secret of Mana lovin' in this thread, it seems, so out of justice I have to mention a game that I loved just as much if not arguably more: Secret of Evermore. :)

Damn you guys and all your gaming system talk. I was already teetering on the brink of picking up a PS-2 and this thread pushed me over the edge. Found a killer deal on craigslist locally that includes not only the game that wanted (GT4) but this:

I just recently replayed earthbound for SNES and found that it's still one of my favorite games.

Great game. Nintendo should release a sequel, it would be huge.

They were working on a sequel for the DS, weren't they?

In any event, yes, an Earthbound sequel needs to happen and would indeed be very huge. That's a classic!

I'm not sure, I think there was one coming out for Nintendo 64. I haven't really followed much news, none of the current generation stuff really interests me.
