Thinking about getting an L3000...
I haven't. I run around too much for the work I'm going to be doing, and I lose a lot of pens. Plus I need a ball point since orders have to be written on carbon copy sheets.

Thinking about getting an L3000...
It looks like this might be the route I'm going, I found a buyer for my second K1000. Leaning more towards the L3000 than a watch.

Anyone else watching Lost?
spoilers So who do you guys think was in the coffin? My prediction is Sawyer. My reasons: -no one shows up for the funeral. Sawyer has no family or friends -when the funeral director asks Jack if he's friend or family Jack says neither. Which is true, Jack wouldn't consider him a friend -when he sees Kate at the end and asks her why she wasn't at the funeral, he says "you of all people should have been there" Why it might not be Sawyer: -Jack is really, really sad/disturbed about the death spoilers

Thinking about getting an L3000...
Thanks 909, I liked your review on headphonereviews.org humanflyz: I was wowed by the PS-1 when I heard them. But every time I kept turning them up to drown out ambient noise from the meet the bass and air it pushed become too much and I had to turn them down again. A John Coltrane track on my test disc was the only one that was well balanced.

Thinking about getting an L3000...
So I'm pretty close to graduation and I haven't really bought myself anything nice since February. I was initially going to get a very nice watch, but the last few weeks I've really been considering the L3000. It doesn't help that I didn't like them at the last Boston meet, but I'd like to give them another shot. Basically I'd like a more bassy, fun alternative to my two main headphones. I see the K1000s deficiency with rock music now that I have the HP-2. The HP-2 doesn't exaggerate bass, so it's great for those pristine recordings, but not so great for the poorly done stuff (where basslines/dynamics are buried). They've also been getting the majority of my head time since I mostly listen to classic rock and onwards. "what are you listening to thread" is an accurate representation of what I listen to.

Your best values under $200 (used is ok)
Oh damn you can get an Ergo2 for under $200...now I really want to hear one.

Rudistor.....impressions?
If I was looking for a SS amp the B22 would be on the top of the list.

I guess I'm the only one that can't stand the SR-225. Improves greatly with flats, but still not that great. I owned them twice, the second time hoping they'd replace my HF-1.

Grado SR-60. Still one of my favorite headphones. Hella uncomfortable when new. Works well out of a DAP (won't kill the battery). Sennheiser HD580 Nice all around headphones, also great for movies. Sound great with simple amps (cmoy, Govibe, etc). If I was ever in a major financial rut I could probably sell everything for just those two.

Battlestar Galactica?
Nate like Thrice mentioned there's a mini series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlestar_Galactica_%28TV_miniseries%29 warning don't read past the first paragraph lots of spoilers). IMO the mini series is one of the best parts of Season 1. If Netflix takes too long, send me a PM and I can mail you a copy of mine.

Joe Grado would be the only panel member worth having. You think Wes Philips knows anything about the HP-2? Psssshhh Or J.A....hmmm maybe we could have J.A. measure the HP-2, he's good for that.

Impromptu apartment mini-meet
I'm listening to her CD Night Bugs, it's really good. Her voice reminds me of Neko Case in certain parts.

Clone your own Bada PH12!
Do you know if it's an integrated or a poweramp? I really dislike having a preamp in the signal path right now.

Clone your own Bada PH12!
I can only hope he comes over here so he tells us more. I doubt even the best solid state is doing the K1000 justice.

What pads were the RS-1 using?

Why is the Wheatfield so hard on tubes?
Nice Nate, that amp is a looker.

new dream theater (Systematic chaos)
You thought Octavarium was a bad album? It's no Scenes From a Memory or Images and Words, but it's a good album. As for my comment on it sounding the same, well to me it's the same formula over again.

new dream theater (Systematic chaos)
Eh sounds exactly like all their other albums.

Threads disappearing/ getting deleted on Audiogon?
That's the gaudiest thing I've seen tonight, and I saw a few ricer cars at the movies. (28 Weeks Later gets my recommendation)
