I've always had good experiences with Kingston ValueRAM. Their customer service is flawless as well, I've had to RMA two sticks (they have lifetime warranty) and the CS rep was incredibly helpful.

Thanks granodemostasa. Nate, now that you mention it I think Todd did tell me a bit about the Zhalou (but I can't remember much). We were listening to one at his house but I can't remember if it was Ori modded or not. I couldn't take anything away from listening to it since I wasn't using music I was familiar with (d'oh) and it was my first time hearing Todd's amps. How are the dynamics with the OMZ? This was the major point he was trying to emphasize as being "explosive"

To people that have heard the Ori modded Zhalou what do you think? Ori sent me a lengthy PM explaining the virtues of his DAC (and his X-2 cables) and he hyped it up pretty good (compared it to Emm Labs and dcs gear) Honestly I'm extremely skeptical since it's information coming from the modder/builder, but I thought I'd hear what you guys had to say.

I have to say your Berkeley quote about having a bed side rig = no sex was hilarious (and probably true, but my gf doesn't live with me ). But I would argue that aside from a lazy boy (or other such super comfy chair) the bed is a sw8 place to listen to music.

He has a K1000 I would never ever think of replacing my K1000 with a K701.

Is your EC/SS from the second batch? I heard one a few weeks ago and both the owner and I agreed that it was an analytical amp. I didn't find it warm with any of the headphones I tried it with- K701, DT880 (new version), or HP-2.

I'm in agreement with aerius I actually do prefer both of K340 sets to the K701. But this comes down to personal preference, I'm severely under amping the K340. Of course the same could be said about the K701 (though the Melos SHA-1 does a find job with the K701), my setup is geared towards only two headphones.

I should have added Homogenic to that list. But Volta is a pretty straight forward album.
