Part Sourcing Assistance/Advice Thread
Thanks for the advise on the transformers, I will definitely look into www.toroidy.pl, and thanks for the heads up on the wire length Spritzer, that is an easily overlooked factor until you try to install it

Part Sourcing Assistance/Advice Thread
Hi, I am starting to get back into the KGSSHV and DIY-T2 projects after a relocation to Germany. One of the big components I still need to source is the transformers for these projects. Does anyone have a good supplier they have used a bit more local to Europe, or is everyone sticking with SumR?

Teflon Stax connector group buy/purchasing
Hi Marc, I would be keen for 8.

Teflon Stax connector group buy/purchasing
I discussed it with deadlylover, and it makes more sense with postage to just buy a bag of them myself. But if you are going to buy 500 more anyway, I will be interested to see what price you can do. Just let me know via PM, I won't pull the trigger on the pins until the group buy on the jacks is finalised. Horio/Ujamerstand, I am also interested in some of the PCB's (probably if there are still some available - I'm not sure just how many extras you received.

Teflon Stax connector group buy/purchasing
I have just increased my order 4 ea. if that is still ok (Spreadsheet updated). Also, who is it best to get pins from? Deadlylover, would it be you, as I am just across the ditch in New Zealand? Cheers

I will take three 5 pin and three 6 pin connectors if you are organising this group buy.

Noise canceling headphones for portable DVD player
One brand to have a look at is Blackbox. They use the ANR system from Phitek, designed here in New Zealand This ANR is meant to be one of the best systems out, and is used by other manufacturers as well (cannot remember which ones however). A friend had a pair of headphones with this system, and I remember being impressed with the ANR, even if I couldn't really test the sound quality due to the airplane entertainment system. They may be slightly beyond your price range, but you have the advantage with the exchange rate.

i'm on a roll... the kgsshv
Ok, time to stop lurking and start lining up a project for when I finish my PhD - I'm also interested in a board set. Kevin, looking at the artwork for the power supply options with and without the reference, opamp and 2sc3675, it seems that the two designs could be combined into one PCB without too much difficulty or increase in board space. The final decision is then up to the user.
