Hell yes. Though I think the bunny/wizard/dress thing might scare Debbie, he is more than welcome!

I'll set an arbitrary start time of 10 AM, but if people get here earlier, or the night before or whatever, no big deal. I have taken the Friday before and the Monday after off work so if someone does need a ride or anything, just post and we'll work it out. As we get closer I'll PM address details and phone number where I can be reached in case you need to.
  8. Combine them and see if you can achieve the Cheese Event Horizon.

We do have a Metra train station within 10 minutes of us and we'd be happy to pick you up and drop you off. How to get to that station (University Park) from Midway or O'Hare I'm not sure of. But it looks like you can take the CTA Orange Line into the city and then catch Metra from there: First Itinerary - MIDWAY CTA to UNIVERSITY PARK METRA Take CTA ORANGE LINE TRAIN (ORANGE LINE - CLOCKWISE) Depart at 05:00 PM: MIDWAY CTA Arrive at 05:20 PM: ROOSEVELT CTA Take CTA RED LINE TRAIN (RED LINE - NORTHBOUND) Depart at 05:25 PM: ROOSEVELT CTA Arrive at 05:30 PM: STATE/LAKE CTA (BRN/GRN/ORN/PNK/PRP/RED) Walk 0.3 mile SE to RANDOLPH ST METRA Take METRA ELECTRIC LINE Depart at 06:08 PM: RANDOLPH ST METRA Arrive at 07:08 PM: UNIVERSITY PARK METRA Regular Cash Fare: Cash: $ 7.75 *Find out how to reduce this fare Reduced Cash Fare: Cash: $ 3.60 *Find out if you are eligible to register The RTA Trip Planner is here: Plan Your Trip - Regional Transportation Authority

You have a place to crash sir. Including shovel storage.
  12. Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll.
  13. Where were your seats in Indy? We went every year. We started with seats on the main straight but after two years moved to the North West Vista. We could see everything from turn one through turn seven. I will also be trying for Austin. Let's hope it all happens.
  14. No spoiler on Monza but didn't realize you were an F1 fan. Tifosi?
  15. Had grilled calf liver, grilled onions and baked potatoes tonight. Not bad at all.

Oh, you'll be there. Or we'll talk about you the whole day. I might even break out crayons and construction paper and pass them around so everyone can draw rude pictures of you and post them in the impressions thread.
  17. I met Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson back in the day. I worked for Camelot Music and they had an annual convention for the management folks. Ian Hunter's band played for one of these and then we got to hang a bit and chat afterwords. Ian was OK but Ronson was very cool and endured me asking a hundred questions about his days with Bowie. Very gracious dude.

December 4th is looking to be a winner. Any objections?

Actually it was a bugger of a storm and I was in the Mini Cooper. But it did go fairly quickly with four snow tires on it.
