  1. Welcome to Head-Case Susie and congratulations on adopting that old softie Steve. You'll probably have to clean up after him now and then, but he has a heart of gold.
  2. Touch
  3. Happy Birthday!
  4. Got word that my LCD-2's should ship this coming week.
  5. I added an Airport Extreme a few weeks ago. It's up in the back bedroom of the townhouse and it has definitely improved the range over our previous DLink 802.11g. Before the change I couldn't use my MBP on the deck, now I get full bars.
  6. Salt for the water softener.
  7. Big congratulations John!!!
  8. Happy Birthday Matt!!
  9. That was my suspicion. The remixes sound way too "hot" for me and I think they lose much of the subtlety of the music. I had hoped the vinyl version would be different but oh well. Thanks!
  10. Does anyone have the 70-75 Genesis vinyl box set? I have the cd/DVD box and never really liked the sound. Has anyone heard the vinyl editions and are they more representative of the originals?
  11. I've actually been thinking about a Schiit Asgard as a budget way to go ss with the LCD's. That is if I ever get them...
  12. Vizio E322VL 32" LCD HDTV with Vizio Internet Apps. Video for the music room. With WiFi so I can stream Netflix etc.
  13. I'll go for Ambassador from ThreeFloydsylvania.
  14. I saw that but passed. I did grab a 5 port USB hub during the Woot Off for 3 bucks.
  15. Did a DIY wall mount shelf for the turntable. The new townhouse's floors are so bouncy I couldn't add it to the regular rack so I bought a 2" hardwood butcher block from Bed, Bath and Beyond, two L brackets and a 1x6" board to mount to the wall. The board made sure I didn't have to worry about mounting the shelf to the studs. The board is lag bolted to the studs, the L brackets to the board and the brackets to the butcher block. Results are excellent. No more skipping when walking across the room and I think I have a sound improvement too. Or it could be that I'm just so bloody happy to have vinyl back in my life.
  16. We were too hungry to pause for photos. Maybe next time.
  17. Did a grilled radichio and endive salad. Grilled the veggies to get a nice char and soften slightly. Dressing was olive oil, balsamic, dijon mustard salt and pepper. The salad accompanied butterfly pork chops with a spice rub obtained from The Spice House in Old Town, Chicago. We haz happy tummy.
  18. Very encouraging Steve!! Fred, milk him for all the treats and ear scritches you can get!!
  19. Every child begins the world again.... ~Henry David Thoreau Congrats Naaman. She is amazingly beautiful.
  20. Pizza on the grill. Pepperoni, grilled fennel, green olives, mozzarella and crushed tomatoes. And beers.
  21. Thanks. I need to listen to some Scott Walker tonight.
  22. A new sofa and loveseat, a six pack of Two Brothers Domaine DuPage and a 375 ml bottle of Lucid Absinthe. Sounds like a party.
