  1. From the Mono box.
  2. Try the New Albanian stuff and let me know what you think.
  3. Had lamb kababs and various other goodies at a local Middle Eastern restaurant. Great hummus and baba ganough too. Oh, and Turkish coffee to finish. Mmmmmm.
  4. Beautiful. And I can only imagine how it sounds.
  5. Al, flippityfuckinferociousfabulous!! The Moth looks sweet!!! Me, I bought some Plymouth gin tonight.
  6. I have a couple of boneless pork chops marinating in olive oil, balsamic, scallion and garlic to go on the grill shortly. Accompanied by baked potatoes.
  7. Don't discount the replacement Vicki. My 90 year old mother had a knee replacement this year and was only down for about 6 weeks. She is walking 100% better now. I know an ankle is a much more difficult proposition than a knee, but it's at least worth researching. And I think who the surgeon is makes a big difference. Mom's is pretty well known in this area and does excellent work. Do your homework and you may find it a viable solution. Regardless, take care.
  8. Congrats to Nate. Just another day in the world for me.
  9. I wish I could find Fever Tree locally.
  10. Where in Indiana? I'm a Hoosier by birth.
  11. Ouch. Sorry Shelly.
  12. I received an Incipio Feather case today for my iPhone 4: iPhone 4 feather Hard Shell Case It eliminates the reception issue, protects the back, comes with 2 screen protectors and is cheaper than the bumper. So far I like it.
  13. Sitting outside with good friends around a nice fire.
  14. Did not overcook, though both of us like it done throughout. Very moist and tender and excellent flavor. The salad was good but I grilled the fennel in too large of pieces. It needed to cook more thoroughly to sweeten up more. But for a first try, not bad at all. Debbie loved both.
  15. Grilling some salmon on cedar planks. Also grilled some fennel, radichio and Belgian endive for a salad. A little olive oil, balsamic and fresh lemon juice dressing and we should be good to go.
  16. Got word today that a former co-worker and friend passed away after a long battle with cancer. So in general it's been a sad one. She was in her 40's and I found out that her only child, a son, is getting married in two weeks. Life can really be fucking unfair. Sue and I helped each other maintain sanity while working for a power mad boss. I feel bad because we were smoking buddies during that time and I wonder how much that contributed. But I'd never have 16 years in my present job if she hadn't been there to lean on when things were intolerable. So the world is a bit emptier tonight. She'll be missed.
  17. Happy Birthday Birgir!!! I will have a Drunk Monk in your honor today!!
  18. Happy Birthday!!
  19. Bought this weekend:
  20. Congrats everyone. We're home from Tour de Indiana and still have 3 days off. Doing some around the house things to satisfy a post-purchase inspection but nothing very strenuous Mostly a lick of paint etc. Then off to watch fireworks tonight. With much beer and grilled morsels throughout.
