  1. When they are both up and running I will let you know. Right now they sound about the same as one of your granite slabs...................... (nothing). To be fair, I have been a little preocupied with work for the last two months so I have not spent the time to fully troubleshoot the problem.
  2. Make sure you post on both sites how quickly they service the 808 and what they end up charging you, it would be valuable information for all those current and potential Meridian customers to know. I have had reasonably good luck with service regarding their dsp 5500 speakers but I am not done yet. Good luck Billy I hope it all works out.
  3. Come to CanJam 2009, we will whip up a batch for you one way or another, or at least attempt a So Cal version of Haggis. I know a place in Boyle Heights called El Tepiac that serves something like that.
  4. ModWright Instruments Inc.will be sending some equipment for review of attendees.
  5. Mine fits better when drinking single malt. It also got me excused from jury duty, or was it the camoflage hat?
  6. Which model Magnaplanars did you get? I have been on the hunt the last few months but haven't the courage to pull the trigger yet. And what are you driving them with??
  7. Well I have Blakey Moanin' and Coltrane Blue Train so I guess I have to go find McClean Bluesnik. How did I miss that one? Thanks for posting, otherwise I would have missed that one all together.
  8. Yay, I'm #2. Happy Birthday!!!!!!!
  9. Well 909 it's been three hours, so wassup???
  10. Well if it does, I guess we know who we can go to for a audiophile grade ark. /\ /\ /\ /\ /\
  11. Go SC! The PAC 10 just gets no respect so there!
  12. A new Frigidaire refrigerator energy star certified for-the garage. Obviously I am married and have a family otherwise I would have bought some more gear or better speakers. On the plus side I received $100 in rebates, wish they would do that for cd players.
  13. Well I did a 30 miler this morning, of course it was on a rode bike but at least I had 1K of climbs and some brief pacelining. I finished adding new Erse inducters to some crossover mods I am doing for my office speaker rig. If the mods do not work to my satisfaction the speakers move to the HT. Our HT is the graveyard for all mods and upgrades that fail to satisfy.
  14. Luis, like they suggested, Alieve (two every five to six hours not to exceed eight total) heat pack and a firm mattress. Don't use so many pillows and don't lift anything heavier than a cd. Get well soon my friend.
  15. A mixed case of Molly Dooker Shiraz, including Velvet Glove.
  16. Good luck Steve and check in when you can, even if it is at dial up speed.
  17. I will have to get back to you on this.......
  18. Well I can speak first hand about your skills and abilities in repairing and improving a RAM modded/damaged dysfunctional DAC. I am interested if there are any spots left.
  19. Do some EPO then we can watch you ride the TDF next July.
  20. Well here is a great one to try. http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFront/default.asp?CS=lewis&StoreType=BtoC&Count1=530727565&Count2=447867989&ProductID=141&Target=products.asp
  21. Asr, you have your wish. Luxman has agreed to participate and they will have their P-1 there for reviews. I hope to get some real time with this as well.
  22. Funny, that is how some people describe "smooth jazz" now a days. Though I have to admit I occaisionally take a walk on the wild (smooth) side.
  23. As long as you keep your "Jimmy" covered you should do well on your first day at the "office".
  24. Twenty three hundred feet of climbing in one day is pretty respectable and doing it on a recumbent or with knobby tires is commendable. Nice shooting Nate keeping everyone in frame unless of course those shots were done at the top of the seven percenter. In that case they were probably only going three mph.
  25. Working on that already, we shall see. I too am very interested in the Luxman P-1.
