Well, I just got off the phone with my friend and the body shop. Good news, other than my friend and child being okay, is that the woman who hit my car admitted fault and was driving a company car. There was no mechanical damage, but the hood, front bumper and one of the front sides need to be replaced. The company just wants to take care things and have no problems. I'll know more on Monday.

I'm just now catching up. I renewed my mobileme in Feb. Why are they making it seem like a favor they're extending it at no extra charge until the 30th? What happens to stuff between June 30 and whenever this cloud thing is happening?

Well, fuck. I lent my car to my best friend because her lease ran out and she needed a car for a few days. Someone just wrecked it. She and her son are okay, but my car isn't. Fuck.

Ed, if I got out a magnifying glass, the edges would look a bit ragged, but to the naked eye, it looks good. I'm pleased. I'm a wee bit frustrated as I have a cold right now, and my ears and nose are stuffy. Hoping things clear up fast so I can actually give this a good listen this weekend.

Since I stole the idea from you, I'm glad you approve. They look even better in person, and I got lucky again with a perfect fit. I'm sneak listening for a couple minutes right now, and all I can say is that I'm really glad I waited. It sounds wonderful, though I do agree with John about the gain. I've got it at around 7 and it's plenty loud, though really not a big deal. I couldn't be happier right now.

Set to arrive tomorrow at work. I wonder if anyone will miss me if I'm not in my afternoon group.

Done. He hasn't been around lately, so I just didn't know. He responded to my email within minutes and all's good. Talked with Zac today, and my 3A/16 should be shipping out as I type.

Learned that there is something worse than sitting in a dentist chair for an hour and a half after sitting in a waiting room for an hour and a half: sitting in a dentist chair for an hour and a half being worked on by a dentist with bad breath gabbing on non-stop about politics and puppies, and then after thinking I was done, going into the bathroom and seeing that he missed a whole part of my tooth and having to actually tell him how to do his job and sit back in the chair for round two. My face is still numb and I want to hit something.

Got a voice mail from zac yesterday saying that my amp was ready, just needed to send my artwork. Eeek. I don't have it. The artist had sent the hi-rez version to them directly for my jh13s a couple years ago. Sent an email, but I don't know if it even exists at this point. Meanwhile, more waiting.

Congrats to ken and dbk! Jacob, I had a rod with eight screws from knee to ankle removed for same reason as you a couple years after it was first put in. It was a fast, easy deal, and only had to wear a cast (they have other options now, but this was back in the early 80s) until they took the staples out. It felt sooooo much better after.

Jacob, the Airdyne is the hardest cardio machine I've ever tried. At Crossfit on Thursday, as part of the WOD, we had to do five rounds of 20-second sprints with two minute rests in between. By the last one, I wasn't sure I was going to make it my car without getting sick. It's a killer machine.
