The software in question is MacFUSE. You will also need NTFS-3G. I used this combination extensively in 2008 when my primarily Wintel blew up. Bottom line: It's really good at reading NTFS drives, and so-so at writing to them. Small writes are fine, but large (multi-gigabyte) ones can be problematic. YMMV.

I agree with Salty, except I suggest using Memory X. They guarantee that the RAM they sell will work with your machine.
