  4. I like the "hidden" Head-Case logo in the T-_-2 design. It's a nice tweak on the nose to certain other websites and amp manufacturers.
  5. It has been POURING here in the Vineyard. I'm situated between two ponds, both of which are getting bigger by the moment. The rest of this week should be quite interesting. Pix of the flooding later. Maybe.
  6. mmyeah, I have never seen anything like this in the decade+ I have been using FW400. I did just have an idea. Mum has her iBook G3 here, which has a (working) FW400 port, and I still have the cheap FW cable that came with my Lexar FW CF card reader. I can copy the pictures from the CF card(s) to her laptop, the move them over the wireless network I have created. I dunno what kind of speed I'll get (the iBook is probably 802.11b, and I lack an ethernet cable out here) but "slow" is a hell of a lot better than "not at all."
  7. Watched it rain. Tried 3 or 4 different workarounds with broken laptop. Failed to copy any pictures from either camera. Didn't go out and take any pictures, either. Got mad and made a "I am disappoint" meme featuring my friend Louie. Finally heard from the sodding car dealership at 20 after 4, and got the bad news. Truthfully, I was lucky. The repair cost was only an additional $140 over the initial down payment I made before I left. Not something to cheer about, but one less thing to dread. It finally stopped raining half an hour ago. I just took an (outdoor) shower, which was great until I turned off the water (then it was ). If the rain stays away tonight, I'm going to do some long exposures of night lights reflecting. No idea how I'm going to edit or post them yet.
  8. H/B/D, Duggeh! Flood conditions, low bandwidth, and a dying laptop prevent a proper speakers-ducttaped-to-cranium picture.
  9. Shit. Things are going downhill fast here. A rogue FW400 cable tore the pins out of my MacBook's firewire port. This was not some crap cable, either. I should have used the cheapo one that came with my FW card reader. Now I cannot copy pictures from either of my camera to the laptop (it's not recognizing either of them via USB.) I'm stuck here until Saturday. On the plus side, I figured out how to set up Internet Connection Sharing, so now mum can check her email on her iBook G3, leaving me to curse my own laptop in piece.
  10. I brought a handful of cigars to the Vineyard, but the weather has not lent itself to smoking them.
  11. Photographic Solutions | Eclipse Optic Lens Cleaning | EC | B&H "Important Notice! This item is only available for purchase in our superstore." They can't ship it because it will asplode. I only know of two stores near me that carry it, and it arrives there by truck.
  12. The key to making a good USB cable is to draw the wire through Jena's butt Crock crack at sub-zero temperatures.
  13. Finally got a USB hub so now I can connect the Pico.
  14. Eclipse optical cleaning solution. So concentrated it's explosive. Technically, I won't be allowed to bring it on the ferry when I leave. It might explode.

  16. Got the @%$#& heat working.
