I dunno if I'm supposed to say anything. ^^ It is a modification on ms2's and it will supposedly be coming out this month. I doubt it will only cost 200-300 more then an ms2. The goal of the product is to offer a modern day hp-1k, not a ps-1 clone. Biggie.

It could be worse. The hd600's do a lot better job of keeping up with the music then sony cd3000's. Biggie.

I use an ipod shuffle straight to my headphones for working out. Sound quality is good enough. Amps are annoying because of their added bulk and addition of an extra cord. Biggie.

Senn 280 - if you love a nasel midrange and fugly looks, this is the can for you Beyer 250-80 - reasonably flat frequency response that lacks in highs and have a small closed in soundstage Beyer 770 - horrible boomy base that overlaps the midrange AKG K271 - I only heard them with a replacement cable but they were decent because non of the frequencies really stuck out and the sound was a little less closed in then the beyers You could always take a chance on some closed woodies often found in the forsale forum if your feeling adventurous. Biggie.

Yep its transformer output, driven straight off the 8ohm speaker taps with a dummy load. Biggie.

I heard Philodox's amp after it was burned in, and it was the best I've heard the k340's, but it wasn't making magic with the ps-1's. I can say that now that I have a reference point with my amp back. Bass was just too uncontrolled and not mazimizing what the ps-1 bass does well (tunefulness and picking up subtle tonal changes) . The amps frequency response sounded flat across the board, but vocals took on more of a vividness then I've heard from any ss amp. Depth was protrayed very well with the amp, and I didn't detect any harshness. The amp was able to keep up with all the music I tried it with the ps-1, though the k340's couldn't keep up with the faster material. Highs were plenty extended (more extended then my amp). I didn't notice any bass extension problems during my audition, but I think its safe to say my amp does reach lower with the ps-1s. Overall the amp has a nice clean sound to it with a large headstage/soundstage portrayl and detail on par with anything I've heard. Biggie.

Nice to finally read comments on one of the spacetech labs headphone amps. I almost bought one over 3 years ago to pair with my rs-1's, but instead I decided on going with a heavily moddified asl aq1003dt power amp (transformer coupled, 4 12au7, 4 el34 tubes). Only downside to my amp is it hasn't proved to be the most reliable. Biggie.

You are saying your posts arn't harming anyone and I disagree. For example ServingInEquidor consistently recommended products he hadn't heard or didn't have accurate information about, and a bunch of dumbasses ate up his words and bought shit based his enthusiasm. Biggie.

What I mean is, if for example one were to post about what they *think* (oh no, I'm typing like TrevorNetwork) an amp->phone combo would sound like, doesn't mean that others will read it for what it is (and what it is, is meaningless). Rather some will take it in as a real opinion because they arn't dissecting the choosen words and miss the fact that it is only a conjecture. Biggie.

Ahh my amp starting crapping out on the left side like it did at your headphone meet a couple of weeks ago, so I sent it to DTS Audio in hamilton for repairs. Well he has looked at the amp and says its running perfectly and he can't get the amp to fail lol... I just know its going to start crapping out again at some point down the road though grrrrr. d66 sounds very close to the ipod earbuds. And the earbuds are more portable and if you get them with a shuffle, the whole package is less then the d66. Pass... Biggie.

Well any grado except ps-1/hp1000 is going to be fatiguing with bowl/superbowl pads, and the grados with the smoothest treble happen to be all the ones you haven't heard heh. All grados share a similar cohesive soundstage and solid impact however. Biggie.
